WoW!! The braided fresh mozzarella is truly wonderful! Sometimes it barely makes it out the door. We prefer the slight saltiness of the braids as we feel the ball is a bit bland but some might prefer it the other way around. My sons and I have gone there since they were little. Even when we lived in Texas, when we came up north to visit family, we would make a stop to get Calandra's mozzarella braids and then go for a walk in Jacobsburg State Park. We look forward to it every time. Pros: Best fresh mozzarella ever- especially braided. Cons: Some things like cookies may be expensive. more

Fresh made cheese daily 4/17/2009

Worth a pilgrimage for these cheeses of Nazareth. I rave about the mozzarella made fresh each day in ball shape, rope, or braids will melt in your mouth. The people are friendly and helpful at Calandra's, a Nazareth institution that's been around for decades. Other freshly made cheeses you can get there are smoked mozz, smoked provolone, provolone, and ricotta. Yum! Pros: melt in your mouth mozzarella more
