great midtown spot ! 2/6/2010

This is my third time at caffe linda and i cannot wait to go back.\r \r Food is delicious and very affordable for the location.\r I personally recommend the black linguine with fresh lobster and shrimps in a spicy (mild) tomato sauce.\r \r Ask the manager/bartender/waiter to make you one of his special cocktail with a touch of france , awesome!\r \r Thanks again Caffe Linda, i will come back soon!\r Keith P Pros: service, price and atmosphere more

Great Service, Atmosphere and Food 9/14/2009

I love small quaint restaurants and this one certainly qualifies. The person who waited on us was great and very welcoming. This is the second time I've been there and I've been very pleased both times. My veal was wonderful. There appeared to be a number of regulars and locals having dinner there which is always a good sign. I will go back! more

the menu is limited, but has great paninis and salads. also, make sure to check out the weathered specials menu they stick on your table - while tattered, definitely worth a look. as mentionned in this review's title the 12:30-1:30 lunch rush is insane not because there is a wait, but because like traditional italian street venues the small tables for two are lined next to one another cafeteria style and it's INCREDIBLY LOUD. best chicken milanese! 9/10/2006

i happen to work in the area. i was brought in by a colleague recently after all these years and was so surprised i had never eaten here before! every meal i've had here since has been delicious! always a wait for lunch as the place is small and always packed, but this is definitely worth the wait! i highly recommend the chicken milanese and the shrimp and broccoli rabe ravioli! Pleasantly Surprised! 6/2/2005

This was one of the few times I stumbled upon a restaurant when I was hungry in Midtown and was very pleasantly surprised! I ordered the meat lasagna and can say it was one of the best I've had other than a fresh homemade one. The octopus salad was quite good as well. The service wasn't the best, but the perfect macchiato at the end of my meal is what sealed it for me: I will definitely be back here in the near future! This is the type of place you can be a regular...my boyfriend and I are. The pastas and soups are great, but I have to disagree with the previous reviewer--my boyfriend's only bad experience was with a special. I'd stick with the regular menu, generally. Nothing Extraordinary 5/11/2003

Good traditional italian food, but nothing is extraordinary. Go with the specials, and stay away from the salmon. The pastas were pretty good. Atmosphere is a bore. Bottomline: good value for the dollar, but nothing special. Might go back with a big group, but otherwise, I'll keep shopping for my favorite local Italian Hole-in-the-wall. Pros: Inexpensive, Good Specials, Easy Reservations more
