Cafe Venice

I love this restaurant,when I was young my family used to go there all the time.My favorites were always the spaghetti,meatballs,sausage,pizza,onion rings and the clam chowder.Went there a month ago with my wife and 6 year old daughter,and it was like time stood still.Still the best food ever,and the server was great too,especially to my daughter.WILL be back more

I recently dined at the Cafe Venice and recieved the best service and food in a long time. When you are at the Venice you know your meal is being prepared fresh. There is no precooked chicken and fish ect...The quality of food is wonderful and the dishes are comforting. You will not leave hungry or wondering what you just paid for??? I have a hard time ordering a steak anywhere else. The quality and portion is unbeatable. In simple terms It is what it is. There is nothing fancy or flashy. Great food and Great prices.... more

In all my visits to the Venice Cafe' I have always received courteous service, good food, and the price is right! more

My husband and I dined at the Venice this past Saturday night (March 21, 2009). There was a long wait, so we put our name in and waited along with everyone else. When we were finally seated (along with 2 other couples), our food did not arrive until well past 9:00pm. (My husband and I were seated at 7:40pm!) Adding to our frustraiton was the lack of communication from our waitress. She would race past our table without nary a care as to what was taking so long or how soon our food will arrive. Then again, our waitress was some college kid who was more interested in chatting it up with some people she knew in the booth behind us, rather than being attentive to all the patrons she was serving. I have worked in the restaurant industry as a line cook so I know the drill. If I had to guess I'd say our ditzy waitress forgot to put our order in. Had she been honest with us, I would have been more understanding but instead she ignored us while we sat and watched people receive their food who were seated long AFTER we were. The food is great, I will kudos to Venice on that front, but the way I feel right now, I am not sure the food is worth going back for considering the service s*cks!!!! The owners need to ixnay those ditzy young college girls and bring in some mature experienced talent. more

Chicken A La Venice is great. Service is great. Overall a splendid experience. They are always so festive for the holidays more

Norwood is known for it's Italian, and this place is no exception. I, for one, have especially enjoyed seafood items from here. Washington street, in particular, is host to many fine restaurants and Cafe Venice is one of it's pioneers. If you're hankering for dessert, this place makes some means ones. more

This restraunt has been a fixture in Norwood for a long time! The food is great the service is great. It keeps people going back! more
