After a day at the beach or bike riding it is so nice to head upstairs to dine at Edwige. It is my favorite dinner spot in Provincetown. My only complaint is that the menu has not changed much over the years. Don't get me wrong, the meals are impeccable but sometimes it is nice to see new things on the menu besides the nightly special. The tuna avocado appetizer is delicious. I have had a delicious roasted chicken, seared tuna steak and pasta that remain in my mind. I was there on June 18th, 2010 and had an amazing shortcake. The pastry was light, flaky and one of the biscuits that I have ever eaten. It would have been perfect had they used local strawberries. Don't get me wrong, the fruit was sweet and perfectly ripe but it was June and the best berries are local. Moving onto to drinks, they have several infused vodkas as the basis of their house cocktail. My favorite is the ginger infused which is divine. It is made with Rain vodka which is so smooth that you almost don't know how much alcohol you consumed before dinner. My advice, sip and don't swallow (being P'town there is an innuendo in there somewhere....). The dining space is small and gets full. It is best to make a reservation. Anyhow, keep an eye out for it lingering above Commercial St.. The menu is at the foot of the stairs and the tasty adventure is waiting upstairs.
Pros: Delicious food, great infused vodka drinks
Cons: Menu rarely modified, small dining area
