Awfully good crepe! But bad services! 5/5/2008

I ate there with my friends months ago at the afternoon, there was not much patrons at times. We helped ourselves sit outside, and wait for the server come to serve, however it took forever! We requested 4 glasses of water when a Latino waitress passed by for 3 times! She either pretended not to heart us or just said okay and walked away. We sat there without anyone bought us water and took our orders for almost 15 minutes. Finally, we called another Latino waiter for help, and he took our orders. Though we got bad experience for their services, their crepes were increditably good! Those swiss chess and spinach crepes are to die for! And their cappuccino is so smooth, silky! Pros: Yummy crepe Cons: bad serives more

Crepes are delicious 2/21/2008

The crepes here taste fantastic whether you get one that's sweet or healthy. The downside is the service is pretty much some of the slowest... more

Yeah there are issues - but the crepes are great! 11/24/2007

Last time we went for breakfast we had a service issue as well. The time before though, the breakfast was so good, and service not a problem - ok, here is the bottom line - don't come here when they are busy, but do come here and enjoy the great food! Maybe they will solve the service problem. I will say this though, our server did set things right eventually. We had to wait so long to place our order, that my hubby actually took the menus inside and ordered inside (we were on the patio). It took probably a half hour to get our water and coffee (probably only 15-20 minutes in reality, but felt like a half hour). But once the food came (we get the eggs, bacon and crepes (lemon sugar)), the service improved and we ended up giving a real big tip - so who knows - maybe next time the service will be better... Pros: crepes, prices, parking Cons: service slow more

Horrible Everything 10/14/2007

To be honest, I used to eat here almost on a weekly basis. I knew one of the chefs and was never disappointed. But after the past two times I have been there, I have pretty much vowed to never go back. My first completely disappointing experience came a month ago when I brought my out of town family members to the place they had heard me rave so much about. We were a larger party of about 7, but the service we had was completely out of line. We were served one glass of water each throughout the whole meal, even after we asked for refills. I had ordered my regular chicken, cheese, and mayo crepe. (Same as two others in my party) and I first received a cheese and mayo crepe. When I asked for them to add chicken, the waiter seemed annoyed. Later he came back with a plain chicken crepe. So for the 2nd time I sent it back explaining again what it was that I ordered. A few minutes later the chef came out and YELLED at me in front of my family and the rest of the patrons. He said I was wasting food and their money!!! I couldn't believe it and I was absolutely mortified. Dinner ended soon after that and I have gone back only once. And it was my lst time after not even seeing our waitress for 30 minutes from being seated. She was busy entertaining a boyfriend at a table near ours. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE! Cons: Just don't go!! more

Good selection of sweet/ savory options 12/14/2006

The interior of this restaurant is surprisingly deeper than it appears from outside, and I've been seated promptly whenever I've visited. I like the diverse offering of crepes and breakfast specials and although it can get a bit noisy as the place does fill up with shoppers from the Promenade, I've only had pleasant experiences eating here. Pros: Yummy crepes, Orangina Cons: Can get noisy more

Nauseating 12/12/2006

Their savory crepes are absolutely awful! The chicken looked like it had been chewed up and spewed out and the taste was terrible! I am still queasy days later. The sweet crepes were fine. more

  • This lively spot right on the corner of Broadway and Santa Monica’s Third Street Promenade is a favorite among kids, European tourists and beachy locals who are devoted to the ginormous menu of sweet and savory crepes--48 in print, but you can custom make your own too. Black pleather booths and banquettes line a burgundy-washed room hung with colorful vintage French posters. Watch the crepes being made in the front window--it’s a fun show--and choose savory combos like Swiss and mushroom, spinach and feta, ham or smoked beef. The house specialty is the Nutella crepe--alone, with banana, or a fancy version with strawberries and cognac. Grilled panini, French onion soup, salads, burgers, steaks and breakfast all day with dishes like eggs benedict round out the menu.
