I don't like my neighbors telling me what I can and can't do with my property

We came back ! 9/30/2009

Last year our out-going hoa board with their infinite wisdom let the CMA contract expire. The new management company was suppose to be cheaper. more

0UR HOA NEEDS VOLUNTEERS 9/17/2009

It is a business 9/17/2009

Most of my neighbors at Chapel Hill do not fully understand that an HOA has to be operated as a business. At a recent meeting it was obvious that there were those that do not grasp that the housing market is going through a downturn. We are lucky that the developer has stayed with the community and that CMA is able to keep the property going by stretching the budget just to maintain basic services. If all the homeowners would pay their dues, then we will be able to do more things. DUH Pros: CMA offers a variety of services Cons: tends to spend too much time on chronic complainers more

terrible management company 8/20/2009

CMA management is terrible. They can't even do a simple thing like change the pool code twice a year to keep out the vandals. Pros: expensive and overpriced like starbucks Cons: without the service or taste of starbucks more

BEWARE! 8/19/2009

I have lived in Chapel Hill in NW Fort Worth for three years, and CMA has been ""running"" our neighborhood for two out of three. They have dishonest managers, and have never let us see the records for our money. They have told us that they are paying $40,000 just to run our pool. We have had to hang our own decorations for Christmas time, and they won't supply anything. The budget they send out yearly is a joke, really. A waste of paper! Cons: DISHONEST more

Worst Customer Service Ever! 5/7/2009

I have complained to the board about this shoddy company since I moved into the neighborhood. Worst Management Company I have ever had to work with. Cannot run meetings, terrible customer service, poor advice, poor maintenance, VERY adversarial. Find another management company. Beware! I would rate a zero, but that is not an option. Neighborhood: Creekbend Townhomes in northern Dallas. Cons: Too expensive, cannot run meetings, terrible customer servic more

worst management company in Texas 11/1/2008

I live in the Chisholm Ridge neighborhood in Fort Worth. CMA is way too expensive. invasive and controlling. They are definitely not friendly or approachable ,and have in the past contradicted themselves when I have had issues to discuss with them. They seem to forget that they work for us instead of us working for them. Without the homeowners in this neighborhood they would not have jobs. They seem to get the Board members under their control and their loyalty is to CMA not to the neighborhood they live in. No CMA member even bothered to show up at our last Town hall meeting and when the question was asked who is happy with CMA ZERO hands went up. When the proposal was made that we find a new management company the Board president said we couldn't find anyone better and that we could not change companies and closed out the meeting. it was suggested that we rewrite the bylaws of the HOA and that also was shot down by the board even though they had earlier mentioned several of the bylaws that they had decided they just wouldn't enforce as they were too tough. If you have a choice find someone else. this company is a nightmare that won't end. Pros: very nice neighborhood, nice pools, good location Cons: CMA, high HOA dues, arrogant management company more

Bad Business 8/5/2008

I am a homeowner in Bridlewood and are under the auspices of CMA. It is my hope that when the contract comes up next year we will be well rid of this management company. I find them a very arrogant bunch, very expensive and are usurping their authority within this community. They often forget who is paying for them as do our own HOA Board so I suppose that is how this all started. We had a meeting on the 29th July and all rules of order were ignored. On CMA's website there is a book Roberts Rules of Order which they say is used in all meetings. Well where was it when we had our meeting and CMA did not even say a word when our HOA President decided that we do not use these rules. If you are a management company you should manage. This management company met with our Board and the Williams G & O and Mr. Mark Footlik to discuss potential drilling in Bridlewood. Why were they involved before the residents were involved? I could go on and on about no meeting agendas , no financial reports available forever, Now I hear there is a rush on to go back and have some notes for people to see . Before this they said that they did not ever take notes. Anyway, I would never recommend this company!! more

Feel like I like in a neighborhood run by crooks 8/4/2008

High fees, poor grounds keeping i.e. same cheapy christmas decorations for years, high cost. Expensive homes, exclusive neighborhoods golf course equestrian center and horrible hoa. Had a meeting which cost members $8,000.00 and meeting run without rules or order. Feel I live in a neighborhood run by crooks. Cons: costly, unfair, unapproachable more

Find another managing company 8/4/2008

This company is unsupportive and unresponsive to homeowners concerns. We recently had a special meeting called to unseat the Bridlewood Directors. During the meeting, CMA allowed for the interpretation of Bylaws and CCR's to be interpreted to favor the Directors. Additionally, they did not stop the meeting when the President of our HOA would not recognize ""Roberts Rule of Order"". They continue to keep employees on their payroll that have had many complaints, but state none have been filed. more
