The worst service and atmostphere ever. Waiter/Bartender was never around when you needed something. Food was ok, nothing to write home about. The atmosphere was awful. There was a child and mother in there the child being about ten. The mother was yelling at this child to the point that everyone in the place could hear her every word. She was using some very nasty profanities towards this child who was sitting there sobbing and saying she wanted to go home. It was obvious there was some very bad verbal abuse going on and the start of physical abuse. The waiter never went over to stop the yelling which was yes disruptive but what was more upsetting is that he never went over to even check on this child. She needed someone to step in for her and the waiter leaves the room. Couldn't even find him when it was time to pay the bill. We never finished food because it was so upsetting to see this little girl get treated like this. The guy I was with went over and said something to the mother and talked to the little girl and asked if she was ok and if she needed something. We got her calmed down while the waiter was still no where to be found. Finally I got my bill paid and said something to him about this incident and he said he didn't want to step in because it is against his managers policy. I called the manager and spoke with him about this and he didn't seem to care. Said it isn't there place to help this child. I'm sorry but if there is a child being abused in anyway it is the place of whoever is around to help that child. We will not be back to this restaurant ever. The food like I said was ok but nothing special. Took forver to get out to us. Asked to bring salad first and they brought everything at once. Appetizer, salad and main dish all at same time. Waiter very unattentive and slow moving. I would recommend staying away from this place.Lots of better places in Cedar Rapids. A small group of friends decided we were hungry for a nice steak so we thought we'd try the Chop House. We started our evening at Crosby's (in their lounge). The waitress accidentally spilled a cocktail all over on of the guests at our table, but did promptly assist in the clean up and bring a new drink. We felt like she shouldn't have charged us for the drink due to the inconvenience. Pros: Nice lounge ajacent to restaurant Cons: Service is very slow and some food was cold more
