Below is a letter I wrote to the owner of C & C Transmission Service,\r On Tuesday 19th of July 2011 I brought my Trail Blazer in to your shop to have the transmission rebuilt. I then picked it up on Friday 22nd of July 2011 (invoice # 1431). A few days later I parked the vehicle and went out of town on work for a few months. When I returned the transmission was acting up. I then brought it back to you at your new shop on Thursday 22nd of November 2011. You informed me due to the Thanksgiving holiday you would not be able to get to it till Monday or Tuesday the next week and would get it back to me in a week or two. The following week I called for an update. Just as I did constantly during the weeks to follow for the next two months. Every time I called you told me you would get to it in a couple days. After a few weeks you told me different things that were wrong with the vehicle. Obviously you did not completely rebuild everything in the transmission the first time as you initially said you would be doing if so many things could still be wrong with it. Finally two months later on Thursday 19th of January 2012 you told me my vehicle was ready to pick up. I was again on a work project out of town and the vehicle was picked up from your shop by my son after hours. On his way home it started acting up again. Obviously when you finished working on it you either did not properly test drive it or you decided you didn’t care. Either way you had the vehicle for two months and were not capable of repairing it correctly. The vehicle was parked for four months till I returned home. On my return I had a project to work in the Atlanta area. Having already spent many months renting and borrowing vehicles due to your lack of ability to fix my vehicle. I was forced to drive the vehicle in poor operating condition. \r IT NOW DOES NOT RUN.\r So, I have given you $1,400.00 of my money and you have held my vehicle in your possession for over two months. For all of that I have a vehicle that I drove a total of 5,563 which never operated properly. I now have no confidence in your ability to repair my vehicle. I also believe that a judge and any reasonable jury would believe that I have given you full opportunity to cover your work under warranty. So at this time I must demand a refund of the $1400.00 I paid for you to repair my vehicle so I may take it to another repair shop to fix it properly. If you don’t refund my payment within 10 days of receipt of this letter I will be forced to file suit in the Henry county court system for my refund of $1,400.00 plus the cost of rentals and legal fees for recovery of my money.\r \r So I wrote and mailed the above letter. A guy called me. Asked to let them try one more time. Said he would re-start my warranty and if I was unhappy after 3rd attempt he would refund my $1,400.00. Stupid me I let him talk me into giving them a third try to fix my transmission. Guess what, few hundred miles after the third attempt the transmission failed again. I took it to AAMCO. AAMCO fixed it and it runs great. \r As they have not given me a refund I am now preparing for the court battle. more
