Butch's Service Center

Just plain rude. I would not let them touch my car. more

First and foremost i would like to say that Butch's service center is a joke and a ripoff to say the least. I took my car there this past week for an oil leak. They looked the car over, gave me an estimate of $400.00 and i left the car there thinking i could pick it up in 48 hours-the time they gave me.After 48 hrs I called and asked when i could pick up the vehicle. They told me to call back the next day. So yesterday i rode by to see if they had even started on the vehicle-the car was nowhere to be found!! It was after hours around 6:30 so i called the only number in the book and got the wrecker service. The guy gave some lame excuse that the car must be at Butch's "other" shop so i asked where that shop was (i didn't give anyone permission to take my car elsewhere) and he claimed he had no idea.To make a long story short, the guy called butch and they both refused to tell me where my car was! By this time i was livid because no one would tell me anything and Butch would not call me back! He relayed the message that i could pick the car up at 7 am the next morning. I told him I was going to call the cops because i think as a customer i should know where my car had been taken to. The wrecker guy said go ahead. I had a feeling that the car would mysteriously show up at the garage very soon since I threatened to call the cops. And it did about 30 minutes later- an hispanic guy pulled the car in a parking space and RAN AWAY scared to death when we pulled in. So now my car was back but no keys. Who the hell was this dude and where had my car been?! Honestly I'll never know-my engine was barely warm so it hadn't been far away. Was a professional working on it or some shady tree mechanic? If you must go to Butch's service center investigate a little (i wish i did) who's actually working on those cars? By the way Butch never contacted me and he conveniently wasn't there when i went to pick up my keys at 7am this morning-(what a loser). Pros: they'll give you an estimate (how nice of them) Cons: you wont know where your car is or who's working on it more

My car was in need of a new transmission and power steering pump. I use my car for work so it is imparative I have good service in a timely fashion. I took it to Butch's and they said they would call me with the estimate. The following Monday they called and told me the amount (fair price) so I gave them the go ahead for the transmission and pump as long as I could have it back in a few days. Well, by Wed they hadn't called so I did and they brushed me off as if I was waisting thier time. They told me to call back in a couple of days. Now, By Friday I was flustered and had already taken the week off. I called and the man that answered the phone said it wouldn't be ready until Monday (still acting like I was a pest) I told him that would be imposible I would be with out a job. He siged and told me to hold on. Another man got on the phone and said my car had been ready and I didn't need a new pump so they flushed the system and charged me for it. I picked my car up then had to take it back in for a new pump. Which they charged me for as well being wrong the first time. Now I have my car and am still have the same problem as before with my steering. Almost $2000.00 later and I can't take it any where else under my warranties.
