Butcher's Chophouse

Last night my wife and I had dinner at Butchers and hung out for a nightcap. With a robust dinner crowd the service in the dining room was prompt, informed and friendly. The food was very good. We had calimari and split a chop salad. Both were tasty. She had the filet with crab cake and I had the juicy and delicious cowboy steak. Both cuts of meat were flavorful and served as ordered. The sauted spinach, au gratin potatoes and mushroom sides were excellent compliments. After dinner we went down to the bar for a couple drinks. The scene was a lively mix of about half locals and half tourists. The substantial late night food menu drew a steady flow. The atmosphere was friendly and fun. Although it was our first time there, the staff made us feel like old friends. We had heard good reviews from coworkers and Butchers lived up to those recommendations. Save your time and money for a resturant that will not only accept reservations, but honor them once you get there. Very RUDE. Cons: Staff more

Listen, we're very forgiving when we go out to eat-things happen, we understand. But this was just plain lousy. The food itself was uninspired, once it finally arrived at our table (took forever.) There are too many other restaurants in PC where you could get much better value for money spent IMHO. I would not recommend. I have been a couple times to Butchers.. I went with a bunch of friends the other night and everything was great. We had appetizers, entrees and desert. The pork chop and the ahi tuna are both really tasty. If you go to the bar area- they serve the same food as the restaurant, but its a little less formal in the bar. Most of the servers down there are really fun and cute. I recommend the halibut tostada appetizer and the chop salad and the BLT salad. Really good martini's too!! Pros: Service, Food more

Our food took forever to come out and then was cold when it did. It seemed to come out in stages, half our table had the food, while the rest of us did not. We saw the same thing at other tables, it was obviously not our waiters fault. When I did get my steak, I was disappointed, it certainly is not prime beef by any stretch of the imagination. It seemed as if there was no real management to the restaurant as a whole. There are so many great places to eat when we visit Park City, and absolutely no reason to spend a dime in this place.
