Horrible at communication 6/3/2016

I have been a patient with them for over 10 years and on numerous occasions i have left them messages and never gotten a call back on prescription refills. A couple times important medications. No email to communicate. All automated messaged. I am done with them. more

Not organized and no email correspondence 5/30/2014

I have been going here for years, but will likely with soon. Getting in contact with my physician's assistant (much less the doctors) is slow. They NEVER actually answer their line and it always takes over a day for a response. No email contact at all. They need to get with the times and have a live person when someone calls. more

They hate Medicare patients 2/4/2013

Horrible practice. Charges Medicare patients enormous amounts of money upfront. Then tells you certain test must be paid out of pocket and refuses to file. A whole practice of greedy doctors!! Not to mention the person at check out who takes your money refuses to give you eye contact and always has an attitude. She acts like someone made her take that job. The office manager walks around with a frown on her face and I have personally seen her be rude to the staff. My suggestion, run as far away as possible. more

Billing Department is very unorganized! 9/25/2012

Dont go to this office!! You will end up paying for bills that should be covered under your health insurance. The billing department wrongly filed all of my services under my insurance company. I was hit with a bill from their office and Labcorp. I spent hours on the phone trying to get it all figured out. With the help of my insurance company, some of the bills were re-adjusted and paid for by them. This doctor's office was very rude to to me and didnt care to help me even though it was their fault! I will never use them again. They wasted several hours of my life to reverse their mistakes and they could care less! more

Very disappointing...felt like a factory 7/20/2011

Having attempted numerous times to schedule an appointment with my doctor now affiliated with Primary Care Physicians, I took the morning off work for my 10:30am appointment. After getting poor directions I arrived at my appointment roughly between 10:43 and 10:46am. I signed in showing an arrival time of 10:45am. The lady at the front desk informed me that the doctor does not see patients if they are 15 minutes late. Frustrated, I asked to speak with her briefly for 5 to 10 minutes. She then replied she was busy seeing patients and was not able to speak with me. She did not make any attempt to verify my doctor was not able to speak with me. Looking at the sign in sheet I noticed I was the first patient to have seen this doctor that particular morning as no others were signed in prior nor shortly after I was engaged in this conversation. I asked if there was anyone else I can see as it had taken months (over 6) to get an appt. After denying me any ability to make contact with my doctor she informed me of availability the next day. Knowing I would again have to take the day off work I left the office promptly wondering how did it get to the point where people who control access to your primary care doctor be so unwilling to make communication available? I understand I was late but seemingly any efforts otherwise were not even considered. more

One of the worst exp ever 7/7/2011

Waited for 1:40, gave up and went home to find other physician. They just don't care. more

Busy office/Great care 7/14/2010

I have been seeing Dr. Sandra Banks for over 5 years. She is terrific. Nursing staff are very professional. Every so often the front office staff are rude. But I wouldn't change my PCP for anything. more

So far great! 4/15/2010

New in town and needed a new Doc. Got in right away, received excellent care, very thorough. Like Dr. Varner very much. She has personally called me several times with lab and test results. Staff was really efficient and helpful. Wouldn't go anywhere else. more

Record straight 1/4/2010

I hate seeing that a few people were dissatisfied with PCPA. My husband and I have been going there for over 5 years and have nothing but the best to say about the docs. Ours is Dr Diekroger and is is the absolute best. In a world of medicine where compassion and actually knowing your patient is not expected, he takes the time to get to know you and offers great care. I felt I had to write this because usually it's only the bad situations that get reported. more

A GOOD EXPERIENCE 10/26/2009

I NEEDED A NEW DOCTOR BECAUSE MY CURRENT DOCTOR WAS RELOCATING. EVERY DOCTOR I TRIED TO GET AN APOINTMENT WITH HAD A TWO MONTH WAITING LIST FOR NEW PATIENTS. PCP OF ATLANTA TOOK ME RIGHT AWAY AND I AM COMPLETELY SATISFIED WITH THEIR SERVICE AND THE QUALITY OF THEIR DOCTORS. ADDITIONALLY, I FOUND IT NICE THAT MY DOCTOR WAS CONCERNED NOT ONLY ABOUT THE PROPER MEDICATION FOR ME, BUT ALSO ABOUT HOW MUCH MONEY I WAS SPENDING FOR PERSCRIPTIONS. HE RECOMMENDED SEVERAL CHANGES AND SAVED ME APPROXIMATELY $60/MONTH. more

Retaliation at Primary Care Physicians of Atlanta 5/10/2006

For almost 3 years I saw physicians at Primary Care Physicians of Atlanta and can honestly say the doctors were great. The office staff on the other hand were very inflexible and not understanding. One day I arrived at their office and requested to sign a form for the release of my medical information and got into a arguement with their front office staff who were making very difficult for me to quickly rush in and out to release my information and I didn't have any money to pay for parking so I needed to be in and out within 20 minutes. Needless to say the front office staff was extreamely rude and insensitive. I met with the office manager and explained the situation while also apoligizing for my own rudeness. A few days later I had my yearly physical with their physician without any difficulties. About a month later I became very ill and called to make an appointment with my physician, which at that time I was told that I had been discharged. I had not received any written notice nor verbal notice from my physician. I called my health insurance company and they also had not received any notice that I had been discharged either. I was without any primary care physician. I had to wait until Jody the office manager called to explain why I had been discharged and not notified. Jody informed me that I had been rude to her staff and that I was discharged. I asked if there was some sort of resolution that I could make and she said no. Jody at that time called my insurance company to report me being discharged from their practice never to see any of their physicians again. My insurance company is making a full investigation into this situation so be fully warned that if you do see any doctors at this practice be sure not to upset the front desk workers!! more

St Joseph Internists 8/6/2005

Dr. Smith is a very nice man and a good doctor but the offices are just too busy for me. I had a hard time getting sick appointments. The office has a lot of equipment on site - X-ray machines and other GI stuff so they can get a lot done there. The staff is a little too abrasive for me. more
