The screen size here is smaller than a first-run movie theater, naturally, but that's not too important for most pictures. What's really great about the Laurelhurst is the neighborly atmosphere, and the prices -- as a theater-pub, it sells refreshments for casual cafe prices. Tickets cost $3, and you can get pizza, beer, tea and I believe coffee as well as the usual set of movie snacks.
The only disadvantage to the place is that as a pub without a full restaurant, it won't let you in for late afternoon-evening showings if you're under 21.
