Come here for a cheap movie and a drink! 8/10/2005

This venue is absolutely fabulous. It has 'good time' written all over it. They serve Pizzacato Pizza (some of the best Pizza in Portland), and beer of all sorts. $10 gets you a slice of pizza, a beer, and a movie ticket. So be prepared to bring some friends and have a good time. They show a good variety of movies here from recent releases, to old cult classics, so watch the website for movie times and changes to the schedule! Have a good time! more

Eat pizza, drink some beer, watch a movie 6/29/2005

The Laurelhurst shows less mainstream stuff than the Regal Cinemas that pollute the landscape around here. Movies are cheap. They serve pizza (and little else) and some wine and beer. Their seats aren't super comfortable, but I'll trade that for cooler flicks and a cold beer any day. more

Good place for cheap flicks 6/21/2005

The screen size here is smaller than a first-run movie theater, naturally, but that's not too important for most pictures. What's really great about the Laurelhurst is the neighborly atmosphere, and the prices -- as a theater-pub, it sells refreshments for casual cafe prices. Tickets cost $3, and you can get pizza, beer, tea and I believe coffee as well as the usual set of movie snacks. The only disadvantage to the place is that as a pub without a full restaurant, it won't let you in for late afternoon-evening showings if you're under 21. more
