Perhaps one of the ugliest facades in Pittsburgh, Hunt Library houses a modest amount of books. Often, the library does not have books of interest, or they are too outdated to use. Best bet is to try a local branch of the Carnegie Library system. Sometimes books are scholarly, but others seem to have been apart Oprah's book club.
Open weekdays until 3 am, the library is an excellent place to study, but be warned that homeless people often wander the building, searching for a place to sleep at night.
A small but useful collection of films can be found in the basement of the library.
