The Washtenaw county recreation center is located at 2960 Washtnaw Road. It includes a large gym, a pool, a track, a weight room, cardio exercise room and a room for exercise classes.
It is not a gym for muscleheads, but a multigenerational, multicultural recreation facility that includes residents from the very young to the very old.
The gym is host to basketball games, volleyball, and the ocassional badmitton tournament.
Swim classes for kids start at 6 months though registering for them requires as much work as getting Bruce Springsteen tickets.
