I bought a table here a week ago and it broke almost immediately! I think the wood was partially split. When I promptly brought it back to the store with the receipt the store told me they wouldn't accept the return and suggested that their low prices (over $100) meant that "you accept a certain amount of risk with your purchase" more

Having my wallet stolen would be a faster and more enjoyable experience than shopping at Economy Hardware. The store appears very clean, and I bought a nice powertool there and was assured if there were problems or I had to get replacement blades they sold them. When I returned, I discovered they still sell the tool, but none of the parts, nor did they ever stock them, and the employees were entirely unsympathic to the previous lies. One employee vaguely said that wasn't the right tool for the job I had been trying to do anyway and wandered off. The one employee I could even get to focus for a few minutes and check in the computer if they stock replacement blades said "oh, well, the manager never comes around and he probably wanted to make the sale last time you were here. I don't think the focus is on return business, you should try a larger hardware store" What jerks! Definitely go to any hardware store other than this one. more

There aren’t many places to get school furnishings and hardware supplies in the area. It’s a great place to pick up a lamp, a sofa, some cooking supplies, or have an extra key made on the fly. This hardware store is located within walking distance of the MIT campus on Massachusetts Ave. Lots of students shop here to stock up their dorm rooms with various desks, pieces of furniture, chairs, and random knick knacks. There is a good selection of hooks, screws, tools, hammers, and everything else you'll ever need to fix up or decorate your room. The store is immensely popular with MIT students as it's well stocked, and there are often many sales that attract students to the store. You can also find coupons in books that are distributed on various college campuses that give you a ten percent discount. more

I'm sure this is the place all the students go to get all the essentials for dormotory or student living. Cheap furniture and domestic supplies all in one spot. At a fair price too. Also a hardware store in the back. Cheap air conditioners can be found here when the summer rolls around. more
