Sellers BEWARE! 11/7/2021

I wouldn't take anything of any value to this Stuff location. My items never made it on the list of items they sent to me and they claimed they were donated. Gave me $10 and called it good. Haven't sold a single item off my list since, I guess they feel like they don't owe me anymore money. I see by other reviews, this is a common complaint about this location. more

Don't consign with Stuff 8/24/2011

Don't consign with. They lose items and won't admit to it. If they lose the items they will give you the run around. more

West side Stuff in CR 5/12/2006

It has good quality and a wide variety of things. It is well organized and things are fairly neat. I have been to other stuff stores and like the one on the west side of CR best. I have consigned there many times and feel they are fair in dealing with consignors. more

Tons of "stuff" 4/15/2006

I was not impressed with Stuff Ect in Coralville. It is easy to get to and they have ample parking. It is very visible from the interstate. But there is so much stuff and not all of it is all that great. Most items were priced kinda high for used items. more

The Gross, the Bad, and the Ugly or why I don't frequent this re-sale shop 3/21/2006

Yes, I'm serious here! I have tried on numerous occasions to re-check out this place in the hopes that things might have changed for the better. just last week I visited this re-sale store and found much to my dismay that it is still the same old place as before. The merchandise is wrinkled more often than not...most items are far out of style and a good number have musty or smoky odors about them. The toys look like they have spent the better part of an Iowa winter outdoors under a rock and the kitchen ware isn't even worth talking about. Now to be fair, perhaps I didn't catch them on a good day but when you think about the fact that I have visited this business on more than one occasion I find it highly suspect that it would ALWAYS be having a bad day on the self same days I visit. My conclusion is this.....avoid this store at all costs...head across the street to KOHL'S (they always have good bargains and lots are cheaper than this stores re-sale price!) or walk a bit further and go south towards the mega mall just off I-80. You know, when sales are as good as they are in this town you don' t HAVE to spend good money for sub-standard products.....first rate UNUSED ones can be easily found. This is my opinion...take it or leave it...it's up to you...but remember that old saying...."......let the buyer beware!" more

Stuff Etc........stuff I wouldn't give to charity! 8/15/2005

I'm sure I will ruffle more than a few feathers with this review. After all, when you say "re-sale" shop in the area most people think of STUFF ETC. and to be honest I used to also. But in the past couple of years, the quality of merchandise for sale here has become less than stellar. What do I expect in a re-sale shop? you might ask....well, I'll tell you. i DON'T expect to see rips, tears, smell old, unwashed clothing, see toys with missing parts, clothing with stains.......but I have seen all of these things as well as overpriced garage sale caliber JUNK in this store, and that was a just a short time ago. I was looking for a piece of furniture to re-finish, since I enjoy that sort of thing and by May I usually have found something to re-finish. It was early August and I had not come across anything so I decided to check out STUFF ETC.......what a mistake! I had been in the Coralville store a couple of times since it's move near by "Wallie world" and those times it hadn't impressed me either but I thought this time might be different. I was wrong. Not only did I see all the items mentioned in the 2nd paragraph but more....and I wasn't even through half of the store. Now, I leave it you, if you could choose between a new, unused item on sale at a neighboring store (see paragraph 4) why would anyone in their right mind go to an overpriced re-sale shop and buy lower quality goods?....I certainly wouldn't! It's obviously up to you but take it from a shopping guru......there are always sales to be found in the nearby mini-malls or mega mall (if you know what I mean) so shopping here simply isn't worth the drive to me. good luck....hope you find a bargain......:-) P.S. if some items seem to be "brand new " with red clearance stickers still affixed...they probably are....there is a woman (whom will remain nameless) who likes to buy clearance from up the street and "consign" STUFF ETC to re-sell it for her....interesting huh!?! more
