After a day of studying, my friend who lives in the area decided to take us to Guppy's to hang out. We took a look at the menu and the three of us decided to get the Guppy's Special with was a Strawberry Shaved Ice Dessert (which the menu claimed was for 2 people), a piece of brick toast, and popcorn chicken. What ensued was insanity -- in a good way. The shaved ice was the size of a salad bowl--not the salad bowl you eat in...the salad bowl you toss in--and it had at least 2 pounds of strawberries on it...the brick toast with vanilla ice cream was the most amazing dessert thing I have probably ever eaten...and the popcorn chicken was hot, not that oily and delicious. This place was great...I felt like such a glutton after it all but it was amazing! The place is small and cozy and the decor is extremely tacky but I love it...there's a weird endearing quality about the tackiness! I love this place! and there's fish tanks everywhere. If you go here late (like around after 10) you may have to wait for seating but it is so worth it. more

when this place first opened, they valued great guest service and politeness. Now the owner has become so greedy and cocky, that guest service has all but disappeared. It takes them 20 minutes to get water, when you ask for anything the servers give you a shit face and even the owner is a dumbass. Basically a place to go if you'd like to be served by rude servers with shit faces. But I've got to admit, the food is good. more

This is one horrible Guppy's. I just went here recently, and it was busy. However, the service and the spicy chicken was horrible. We ordered water, and no one ever brought water, so I had to get up and get my own. Also, the spicy chicken was horrible, how can anyone eat that junk? I really recommend going to tapioca express, where they serve REAL Boba! more

They don't have Taro Milk Tea.. Attitude there was cold, but they are quite busy. Menu is large... Watermelon with boba was very good. Boba was cooked perfectly. Their watermelon and almond were both stellar. 8/10 more

Guppy Teahouse is place that most go to at night. I went around midnight. The place is pretty packed. There is usually a line and you have to take a number. The place is known for their shaved ice. They have other things like fondue, brick toast, and actual meals like pork cutlet with rice and wonton noodle soup. I have never ate the actual meals, so I am not sure about those. As far as the sweets go, I've tried them all. Their fondue was not appealing at all. It came in the small pot with a tea candle beneath it. They serve fresh fruit with options like condensed milk, milk chocolate, etc. The brick toast they have is pretty good, but any brick toast is good. As for their shaved ice (which is no longer piled mile high due to messy cleanups), they are delicious. They are huge. You get options of fresh fruit with your shaved ice and condensed milk. You can get an extra bottle of condensed milk for a dollar more. more

the real sit down guppy house is located on the corner of South and Pioneer, and there you can enjoy fresh and tasty boba/smoothies/teas. i would recommend the peach passion fruit smooties, their brick toast with jam, their beef noodle soup, and popcorn chicken. this is a perfect place for pedophiles with a penchant for yellow tail, as this place is ALWAYS crowded. it's like a club for teenie boppers, but the food and drinks are worth the wait. i should notify the owner about megan's law more

This is a great place to go to hang out with your friends. It's a real big hit on weekends and at night. I recommend getting the Shaved Ice here because it's what they're famous for. Also, try the boba here because the fruit smoothies are made with fresh fruit and the boba is also made fresh. more

A chinese/ taiwanese fastfood like sit-in restaurant where lots of teens and young people like to hang out with friends. They only serve smoothies and slushes with fresh fruit that is better than anywhere else. A must try is their icey tower that is more than a foot tall and can feed an entire party. The enviornment is nice and the fishes are a fun thing to watch. more
