We visited Styer's Nursery because it had been recommended to us - from somebody "In The Know" as a place where you could get quality plants. Apparently, to buy from this place, you need a degree in horticulture - or else the staff treats you like an idiot. I don't know why employees would shift their eyes and turn the other way when they see a customer headed towards them. One employee could barely stand to answer or (stupid??) questions.
While we did visit towards the end of the season (mid September), their stock was seriously depleted and a lot that was left was dead looking, as far as trees went. Many The prices were a little higher, but we were willing to pay for quality plants/trees.
We would have placed a significant order, if they would have accepted orders....but just left instead. I would probably try them again if I needed a plant I couldn't find elsewhere, but it's not first on my list.
