I visit Boca Raton a couple of times a year to visit family. We always come here. They have an area with different ponds filled with various marine life. They have a boardwalk that stretches several acres. You can walk through it and see the natural plants and wildlife. There's a platform you can climb and see a spectacular view. They also have butterfly gardens with many different varieties of butterflys. They don't charge admission, but do ask for donations. more

Nice nature park tucked away just off the road 8/8/2005

The Gumbo Limbo is a great place to bird watch, and learn about the various other plants and animal wildlife that make this park their home. Like other nature centers in our area, Gumbo Limbo has a constant rotation of sharks and tortoise in their outdoor water tanks. The suggested donation is only $2--a nice plus if you want something to do but are on a budget or otherwise have no money. more
