Dr. Walter Hodges

I had my first child with a different practice. It was a bewildering, and frightening experience. My next 2 babies were delivered by Dr. Hodges, and Dr. Meinig. WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!!! Both of the deliveries were smooth, and worry-free. I experienced some complications towards the end of my 3rd pregnancy, and Dr. Zaita was responsible for my care. She was down-to-earth, compassionate, and reassuring. I can honestly say each Doctor in this practice is equally skilled, and personable. As an aside - I suffered a miscarriage at one point. It was awful, but Dr. Hodges could not have been more supportive or kind if he was related to me. I will never forget him for that. more

Dr. Hodges is an excellent professional and he CARES about his patients. He actually sits and talks with you about anything and never rushes you out the door. He respects his patients, and when I wanted to have a relatively new procedure performed in 2000 (uterine artery embolization, also called uterine fibroid embolization), he called the doctor that I had talked with to discuss my case. Though at first he had recommended I have a hysterectomy to end my severe bleeding, after careful discussion of my case with Dr. Ted Chambers, he told me that he had changed his mind, and would go along with my decision and that of Dr. Chambers. As a result, I was able to manage my fibroid situation without a hysterectomy and today, at age 57, have gone through menopause without a hitch and feel fantastic. I have had many OB/gyns in the last 40 years, and I can say that if you choose Dr. Hodges, you will get a caring, devoted, and totally professional doctor to care for you. more

I chose Dr. Hodges, Dr. Zaida and Dr. Meinig's practice when I became pregnant with my first child. All three of them were wonderful and made my pregnancy truly enjoyable. When I had my appointments, I never felt rushed and they were always available to answer questions (if not immediately, I would get a call back from the nurses very quickly!). They deliver at both Fair Oaks and Fairfax - you get your choice, however, if you go into labor and the doctor is at the hospital delivering another baby, you will have to go to that hospital. I always received a call back within 15 minutes when I called the after hours line. They are truly wonderful doctors and even though we may be moving an hour South, I will still use them as my OB/GYN. more
