The Winery has been a fixture in Omaha for years. One of the previous partners has since spun off another wine store which I have invariably found to follow the "treat the customer snootily and they will be oh so happy". This is NOT The Winery.
No matter who you are, Dave or whomever greets you when you come in like a friend. When he asks if he can help you, he can. Really. You can tell him what you want by taste, origin, color, or price or any of the above, and there is no snootiness at all.
Look, wine is food, it is a pleasure, it is in fact necessary for civilized behavior. It is not about being a know-it-all. [However, if that is your thing, have at it: Dave can handle you too, with ease.]
They also have a little eatery associated with the store, plus a nice liquor and beer selection, but their thing is wine. If you want something you don't find, if it can be, he will get it for you.
