Relaxed atmosphere, free wifi, selected jeni's icecream, great grilled cheese, coffee, beer, and wine. The only complaint I have is that sometimes they seem under staffed.

Too Crowded 4/8/2009

Apropos is a great coffee shop in a great location. The food is delicious, if a little too expensive. The one HUGE flaw is the overcrowding. It's a great place to go alone but it's entirely unworkable as a place to meet up with friends. I come often and single studiers are usually hogging the booths while larger groups are crowded around small tables, laptops literally on laps, or sitting tables apart. So come alone and enjoy, but find somewhere else for your study groups. more

Wine tasting 1/23/2009

Most of the people in my social network love wine. Myself, I prefer beer. Cafe Apropos' wine tasting offers the best of both worlds. My wife and friend can enjoy the different wines featured for the evening, while I can pick from a multitude of beers from around the world. This is a great place for groups to meet and have drinks. Unlike most bars in the Short North, your can relax and actually speak to each other without having to scream over the music. more

Good atmosphere, great coffee 8/5/2005

Cafe Apropos has been my Sunday morning ritual now for the past couple months. The coffee selection and flavor are excellent. Their pastry/breakfast items are also delicious. The staff is very friendly and their music selection is always good. This shop seems to be pretty popular for the Wi-fi access, there are also 2-3 people with laptops in there. The shop also contains a small wine shoppe. The selections aren't that vast, but for what is there its worth picking up a bottle of wine or a unique bottle of beer. And for those with a sweet tooth, they also offer ice cream. more

Nice little local coffeeshop 7/29/2005

Cafe Apropo is a nice, comfortable little coffeehouse for the OSU area. Relatively new, its nestled in the heart of Victorian Village. The staff is very friendly and funny, and the drinks are wonderful as well. I recommend you try the Buckeye latte...chocolate, coffee and peanut butter - you can't get any better than that! Local students like the place as well because if its WiFi access...local wine afficianados like it because it has an entire section devoted to wine. A good place to go on a first date or just with friends, Cafe Apropos is a warm, friendly coffeshop that the community (and I) really enjoy. more
