Center Pointe Pl Location - Bad Experience 10/5/2008

I wouldn't recommend this salon to anyone. The stylist nearly ruined my hair and gave me a bad haircut. I was promised a 25% discount as a first time client and didn't received it. I will never go back. Cons: Horrible customer service, inexperienced staff more

high end low key 6/8/2008

I have lots of curly hair which I love to change all the time. My stylist Tricia does amazing things with my color. Always willing to spend the time to get my hair just right and believe me it takes TIME! She never turns me down with whatever I want. When I came to her and told her I wanted hot pink and black hair she didn't even flinch! It turned out perfect. It's never over processed and always feels amazing when she is done! more

Salon Exceptionale 6/7/2008

I have never had a better haircut, nor a better experience, than I have at CityLooks... and my mother has been a licensed hairstylist all my life. What I really appreciate about Jesse (my hairstylist) is that she goes along 100% with what I want to do with my hair... even if it is a style she might not particularly care for. Another thing that she, a long with the other stylists there, is good at is helping figure out what to do when I'm at that... "I just don't know what to do with it any more" phase. She will listen to me and give me ideas, but I never feel forced into a haircut I do not want. Everybody is all smiley and friendly. It's an awesome atmosphere that plays really great music. I recommend it to anyone who has hair and gets it cut. I give you my personal no money back guarantee, if you're not happy, I'm not happy. :) Pros: Free Water, Hairstylists that Know How to Keep a Conversation, Good Location Cons: It'sIts the only one of its kind. If it could be replicated to all salons... that would be awesome. more

best hair sylist i've ever had! 6/7/2008

I have really curly hair so it is hard to find someone that knows how to handle it. Jessie, my stylist at citylooks, also has curly hair and knows first hand about some of the struggles i face. She's so great about doing the job all the way and not half way because it is a big job. she's really creative and knows alot about shapes and colors, and how they will look on you. Every time i go in my hair looks better and better. Not to mention they aren't over priced like some other, over rated salons, in the area! Pros: The haircuts! Cons: it's a little hard to get to more

great stylist and salon! 6/7/2008

I have been going to my Citylooks stylist, Jesse, for a while now. She has always been helpful with decisions about my hair and color. She takes my wants and suggestions and makes them work for my hair type (a bit awkward at best!) Her scalp massages are always top notch and she's really easy to talk to! I highly recommend coming here, its relaxed and very personal but not too cheap feeling... its high end but comfortable, and the stylists care about you and really want to hear about your likes and dislikes. I have had just great service all around at Citylooks, you should check it out for your next appointment! (and my husband likes it too!) Pros: stylist Jesse, available products, parking Cons: too close to a mexican restraunt! :) more

Best haircuts and service around 6/7/2008

I've been to quite a few salons in my life and I haven't ever been THIS happy and satisfied with one, ever. Each and every employee is not only immensely talented but also extremely kind. Pricing is very affordable for the flawless quality. I've gone to most the high end salons around middle tennessee and this is by far the best. In the two years I've gone to City Looks, I have yet to be disappointed. I change my hairstyle and color constantly and Jesse has yet to run out of ideas. You get exactly what you want at this salon, and you feel taken care of. If money is an issue, save up for a little bit, it's well worth it. All of the hairstylist are great, but I must recommend Jesse. more

Horrible Hair Disaster 5/2/2008

I asked for blonde & red-ish brown highlights in my brown hair and I ended up getting almost a whole head-full of fried, white-blond hair, with red-ish brown roots. The girl left the bleach foils on some parts of my hair for appoximately 3 hours & she had squirted a liquidy red-ish brown color on my head between the foils, which ran all over my scalp, resulting in red roots & color bleeding onto the blonde hair. Then after it was washed & conditioned, she began to comb out my hair & chunks of hair were coming out. My hair was literally chemically melted in some areas. I tried to remain calm, but I just wanted to run out of there crying. I was then charged over $200 dollars basically to have my hair damaged. The best part of this story is that after a week of crying & not wanting to go anywhere in public, I decided to go back and ask if I could have some kind of a refund or have somone fix it. A different girl looked at it and told me what needed to be done to fix it, and then said because I waited longer than a week, I would have to be charged to have it fixed. At that point, I was like "ok", because I needed it fixed bad. Then later, I thought it over & talked to other people and they told me that no way should I have to give them more money after they screwed up in the first place. So I went elsewhere & it looks a lot better now. Pros: None Cons: Over-priced, inexperienced staff more

An Exceptional Service for an Unexpected Price 3/1/2008

This location, 545 Cool Springs Blvd, is closed, but there is another City Looks at 1031 Riverside Drive off of Hwy96 and Royal Oaks Blvd (ph: 591-9958). It's in the same building as the Publx grocery store. Pros: Friendly & Experienced Staff, Parking, Overall Service, Price Value, Guaranteed Service Cons: Going through a little remodeling right now more

great people, wonderful experience 1/14/2007

With so many snooty salons in this town that make you feel like you should be dressed and ready for the beauty pageant or debutant ball, City Looks in Cool Springs is a breath of fresh air! Their entire staff is delightful and I always leave feeling confident and satisfied. My stylist of over 3 years (Katie Bender) started with City Looks a couple of years ago and I've sent countless others to her since then. She also assisted our company with a couple of photoshoots for clients and we LOVE the job that she did! I'd highly recommend City Looks and the talented stylings of their staff, esp. Katie. more

TEARFUL FU*Kin DISASTER 1/6/2007

I started out with gorgeous long brown locks and all I wanted was my bangs trimmed. Trimmed! The stylist named teresa ended up using that men's razor tool on the sides. Oh my god! Why? Why? If this is a sign that the stylists are inexperienced as*holes, then I don't know what is. A RAZER she used as a last resort because her scissors messed up the first time. All of this happened so quickly that I did not realize that she was such a dope! I thought she knew what she was doing for such a high price tag. Clearly she had no idea what she was doing and now my front looks like a bowl cut. Something does not look quite right at all. I am terribly miserable and ugly now. I don't even look like a girl anymore. Terrible service, too, by the way. Do not go here unless you have a death wish. more

Love My Stylist! 10/17/2006

I have been going to Katie at City Looks Salon in Cool Springs for over a year now and I have always been pleased with her work. I've sent lots of referrals to her and they have all been pleased with the outcome. Definitely worth the money! She keeps the look young and doesn't overstyle which I like. I highly recommend going to see Katie. more

Amazing! 2/15/2006

Karen did my highlights and let me tell you, she is INCREDIBLE! She is hilarious, quirky and knows what she's doing. The staff was awesome, very friendly. It was like I had been going there for years! I highly recommend this salon. Great people, reasonable price, and fun atmosphere. more

Great salon/spa 1/23/2006

I have lived in the area for several years and have enjoyed both City Look Salons! Their location in Cool Springs is very convenient for me. And I love the atmosphere of the Franklin location on by Publix on Royal Oaks. They offer spa services at reasonable prices. Great atmosphere, great service! The staff are always friendly and helpful! It is a one stop shop for hair, nails, massage, wax, pedicures and facials~ They also offer special packages very frequently that make a day at the spa a bargain! I highly recommend them! Pros: atmosphere, services, staff more

Not worth the price 1/2/2005

I am new to the area so I didn't know where to go, I needed highlight and haircut. I explained I only wanted a trim, I'd been growing my layers out for the last 10 months, even showed a picture of what I wanted. She proceeded to cut off huge chunks, added layers all over. I was so upset, I left messages for the manager but she didn't call back. They charged as much as the better salons - don't waste your money! more
