I used pass this place a lot on my way home but this time i decided to give a shot and im so glad that i did.First of all it is really clean and smells nice in the dining area.I have ordered a dinner special which is about $9 and i got a house salad with an amazing greek dressing,lamb gyro with an authentic tziki sauce,incredibly delicious chocolate cake and a fresh made lemonade.Well my meal was excellent from top to end and was my money worth.I will definitely be back to get some more. AWESOME FOOD 1/13/2010

Very nice people... they were always kind to my son who has severe autism. Great atmosphere to hang with friends or get work done with the free WiFi I have a very sensitive tummy. I never got sick with any of their food. A huge thing! Most other places have at least one dish I cant eat.... here they are all good. I have never seen a restaurant such as Kyoto.You can actually make a combo meal with an eggroll with falafel sandwich or teriyaki bowl with hummus.You can pick from apple pie or baklava.They serve japanese,american and medeterenian food all in one harmony.Very clean place and reasonable prices. I live about 3-4 hours from Emory and have to go there about once a year to have my eyes looked at. I finally went in Kyoto Joe's the last time I went and was very pleasantly surprised. The server was very friendly, and my food was delicious. My mother let me try some of what she ordered, I think it was a teriyaki noodle bowl. Kyoto Joe's is not Japanese - it's a mix of gyros, sandwiches, noodle bowls, rice bowls, and whatever else can grab people's attention. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the prices are low - $9 gets you more food for dinner than you can handle, and $7 does the same for lunch. The restaurant itself is very clean. The food is amazingly bad for this kind of build up. The eggrolls and baklava are fresh and have relatively good ingredients, but some of the entrees use the lowest-quality ingredients, especially meat, that you can imagine. They cover up the low quality with gobs and gobs of sauce - there's actually more sauce than meat. Pros: Low prices, good service, and clean interior Cons: Nastiest. Meat. Ever. Bar none. more

I had some kind of beef and it looked and tasted like what you expect that canned dog food to taste like. This was like 5 years ago. I can't believe they are still in business and that there are 4 good reviews for them. more

amazing gyros 3/19/2008

My regular order is the lamb & beef gyro,it is the best ever. The fries that came along are killer.Service is good and very fast. Prices are reasonable. The chicken teriyaki is great too but my favorite is their mediterranean menu.The amazing thing about this restaurant is that they have a wonderful mix of japanese and mediterranean cusines.This is a good and clean place,definitely recommend this place, especially for us Emory students!!! tenders are very friendly and polite.restaurant is very clean and smells good.teriyaki bowls come with white or brown rice of your choice.chicken is white meet or dark meet of your choice.steak'shrip,tofu teriyaki and noddle bowls are very good.aloha and garlic special teriyaki bowls they have.lunch special is 5.99 with a large bowl of teriyaki chicken with vegies and eggroll-miso soup-salad choice with a soda.they have combos with gyros comes with a soda and a choice of a salad-fries and soup.they also have very fresh sushi.and even gyros,falafel,turkey sandwich,burgers,wings,hummus and all other kinds of food.higly recommended. more

We had a great experience at Kyoto Joes. Food was cheap and tasty. All of our family members had something that they had enjoyed. Food is also fresh and health.
