I'm so glad this restaurant has opened up in its current location. It used to be at the Bellevue Mall (which closed several years ago) and, before that, in a restaurant on Charlotte Avenue toward Bellevue. They have awesome food! The cafeteria-style entrees are tasty and plentiful. The barbecue is good, but so are the brisket, the smoked turkey enchiladas, and pork tenderloin. Sides are awesome too - the spinach casserole and macaroni & cheese are super decadent. There are plenty of sides to choose from. The desserts are easily the highlight of a trip to Pig and Pie, and the sweet tea is perfectly Southern. The catering is awesome too! We had the owner make us a couple of peanut butter pies for my fiance's birthday and they were just as tasty at home as they are in the restaurant. They will also be catering our upcoming wedding and they have been excited and responsive. The owner, John, has gone above and beyond the duty of a caterer - he's really been awesome. We can't rave enough about Pig and Pie! more

Great location near Nashville West shopping center, so it's not a far cry from everything else Nashville has to offer. You'll have some of the most delicious food ever! The spinach casserole, potato salad, pork tenderloin, broccoli cheese casserole, green beans, corn, baked beans, OF COURSE barbecue... everything is worth a try! They have great desserts in case you have a sweet tooth. During my visit, they had key lime pie, which is my personal favorite. I was very pleased with my experience here, and I will be returning often. more

Too bad that this place is NEVER open anymore. Can't be that good of a place if it closed all the time. Such is the curse of the Bellevue mall. Pros: Friendly service Cons: Food is not consistant. It can be great one day and horrible the next. more

Pig and Pie restaurant carries on the traditions started by J.T. Hamilton Sr. at the Hut Restaurant in Jackson, TN. Mr Hamilton was John Hamilton's (owner) grandfather. The BBQ is slow cooked with hickory to provide a wonderful meal whether on a sandwich or served as a plate with home cooked vegetables. Many of the recipes used today were started at the Hut, especially the tasty pies! The atmosphere is casual, the food delicious and you are always greeted with a smile. Pig and Pie is known for its catering capabilities, whether a small event at your home or large events serving several hundred people. Please stop by Bellevue Mall Food Court. You won't be dispointed. more
