Fall personified at Homestead... 10/3/2002

Last weekend my fiance and I spent the most glorious afternoon at Homestead Orchard. The people who work there are plain fabulous. We also enjoyed some delicious baked goods, insect free. The staff went all out to make sure my finace had the most romantic setting possible to ask me to marry him. The people at Homestead gave us each a free apple in honor of the occasion. Homestead was great and the apples were fabulous. My finace and I hope to return every fall as long as we are married. Pros: romantic setting, staff, apples Cons: dusty more

don't bother! 9/29/2002

We were sorely disappointed in our Homestead experience! Dry, cold, styrofoam mini-donuts, without a drop of cider in them. Empty, fly-ridden bakery shelves and no hot cider in the cider urn. The animals appeared as sad as we were. The only positive note was made by the two musicians who were wandering the small yard. We left with our dry donuts and headed for greener pastures.
