C'mon happy hour good times 9/7/2007

I think this place is great, in fact, my favorite happy hour joint. But please, don't come here, I like that it's not crowded. No frills, no annoying clientelle, no pains in the butt (citysearch is sensoring me here). You will however find the best happy hour deal on top shelf around, amazing reliable bar service, and they let cool dogs hang out. The bar staff is great, and if you're lucky you can get a bowl of rice crackers and peanuts in the late afternoon. Great place for chatting up a friend, spilling your secrets, and then passing out before 10pm due to an overabundance of delicious sapphire martinis. Ah, success! Pros: Happy Hour! Oh yeah! Cons: Don't go at night on weekends more

Rock solid 9/30/2005

I've going here for many years, more than I care to admit . No nonsense, very cool , low key neighborhood hangout . With the trendiness all around , it's still a haven where you can enjoy very reasonably priced drinks , in an old school EV enviroment . Long live the tile bar !!! Pros: Cool crowd, never trendy more

Most Reliable Bar Ever 11/8/2002

Tile Bar is always a good place to go either as a destination or a stop along the way to somewhere else. I don't think there are any other bars that I've been to that have been consistently as comfortable and friendly as Tile Bar. more

Cool Joint for Aging Hipsters 9/5/2002

I've been going to the Tile Bar for years. It's the same as it ever was, and I hope it never changes. My friends and I can always find a table, and have a good time conversing without having to shout. Cheap and strong drinks, cool, laid-back crowd, nice jukebox; no techno or dance music, or obnoxious twenty-somethings yakking on cell phones, for that matter. As cozy as a neighborhood bar gets. Pros: cool and laid-back, cheap, strong drinks, good crowd Cons: cig. smoke gets heavy, no food more

Relax and unwind 8/21/2002

I too have been going here for the last 7 years, and always enjoyed it. It has a very laid back atmosphere. My friends and I could just put a couple of tables together and sit down without complaints from anybody. The service was always quick an friendly, great jukebox, great drinks and one of the very few bars of this kind that also serves warm sake! more
