I love the Swamp. The beer selection is awesome, the service is great, and the owners are all very nice. Its a tavern, so I am not suprised at all that someone got kicked out for bringing a flask. If anyone came into my business with something that threatened it, I'd kick em out too! more

If you like green near a fire...it's all good...if you bring a flask, the owner is too stupid to know he treads the edge. The people there are great...musicians on Sunday and sporadically at other times. The unfortunate thing is that the owner is a dumb@ss...and doesn't know how to treat guests...mostly because he can't manage his money. I was a "regular" there...and this evening, he assaulted me...because I brought a flask. Ironic...he allows "herbage" outdoors...but I take a sip after overpaying and he literally assaults me. Was at one time the best place to meet your friends and drink some cheap beer. Now no longer in exsitense. Not even as the pathtic atemp to bring it back as the hideout. more

The Swamp is your average middle American tavern with a good regular crowd and a mellow atmosphere. $5 pitchers and $0,25 pool are big selling points, and the classic rock/psychedelic jukebox selections appeal to a wide cross section.
