thumbs down. Don't question why they're expensive and don't ask for them to reference a state law regarding ""mandatory"" well pet visits. they get nervous and tell you to not come back to their business more

Great first visit 11/27/2010

I am a new pet owner and I took my 12 week old puppy here after researching other vets in the area and Petsmart. I made an excellent decision, they took the time to educate me and my pup enjoyed it to. I was really worried that I would go in and leave with a high bill and I didn't. I didn't feel any financial stress. They were focused on me and pup and we got the care and attention we were looking for. more

Horrible 9/12/2010

They refused to see our blue tongued dying cat yesterday b/c we did not have an appointment and told us to go somewhere else. How terrible. We did not know when we woke up in the morning the cat was going to try to die. What kind of vet office sends a dying animal away?\r \r North Suffolk Animal Clinic, down the road on Rt. 17, took us in right way. Many thanks to their kindness and specifically Dr. Browning. Friendly atmosphere for your pets 11/29/2005

I feel this is a nice place for your dogs and cats. They have separate doors for dogs and cats so they don't come in contact with each other. The staff is very friendly and caring. They were pretty good in helping make appointments when our pug was hurt. We really was appreciative to the staff for helping recommend a pet sitter to us. We wanted someone we could trust with our pets and our house. It was Christmas time and they jumped in to help us. One bad thing happened a few years back in the summer, we had our regular check up for the dogs and when we returned home we found fleas. I was very disappointed and know it could happen but they wasn't very sympathetic. For a owner to know how hard it is to get rid of them and to be flea free for 5 years that was very upsetting. The best!!! 7/18/2005

I have been coming here for about 2 years now. I have 2 cats and 2 dogs that are seen here. All the staff are great! They are all so friendly to the animals. Thye also have separate sides to come in for cats and for dogs. When you come in they take a digital picture of your animal and put it at the top of your receipt that you take home. They also always call a few days later to check up on the animal if they were sick. more

Owner Message

  • We are a full service veterinary clinic located in North Suffolk in the Hampton Roads area of Southeastern Virginia. We have a 3000 square foot facility offering separate entrances and waiting rooms for our canine and feline patients and four examining rooms, one without an exam table, allowing us to accommodate a wide array of sizes, shapes, and numbers of patients. Our Intensive Care Unit is located in our treatment area, allowing for close observation of our Surgical and Critical Care patients. We have an Isolation Room for any infectious disease cases and separate dog and cat kennel rooms, as well as a bathing area.


    Our goal is to provide personalized care in a compassionate manner for our patients and their owners. To accomplish this, we schedule our appointments to allow us adequate time to pay attention to each case individually. Occasionally, we must spend more time on a case, resulting in longer than anticipated waiting times. We will do our best to keep our clients aware of these delays, providing opportunities to wait, drop off their pet, or reschedule their appointment.
