Ok if you don't have time to look for another place. 10/30/2011

I've heard a lot of people say that Chesapeake Pizza is the best pizza in the area. I guess we all have our opinions about that. I've been to this place twice in the past 18 months and have to say that it's ok at best. I found the cheese they put on it to be of low quality. The sauce really isn't that bad. Their lasagna was ok as well. The waitresses were friendly and fast. I might go there a little more often if they took credit cards, but there are other places that have better pizzas more

A Must Stop....Perfect Pizzas! 9/14/2011

I'm a retired food critic and I happend to stop by Chesapeake Pizza on my way up from leaving the Outer Banks due to Hurricane Irene.\r \r I am so glad I made the stop with my wife....the pizza we had was absolutely fantastic! One of the best pies I have ever had the privelege of trying....and the greek salad was superb as well. We also received a side of their HOMEMADE bluecheese dressing for dipping the pizza into....unbelievable.\r \r Chesapeake residents are lucking to have a place like this in their city.\r \r Jeff M. more

The Real Deal!! 10/17/2010

I love this place...no gimmicks....no 32 different types of crust...just the most AMAZING pizzas.....EVER !!! more

Chesapeake Pizza ROCKS 1/31/2010

I just want to say THANK YOU Chesapeake Pizza for doing what you do for so long in our community....providing the best food and the most personable service.\r \r I was there last week to picking up about $45 worth of pizzas, subs, and salads. I had forgotten that you guys don't take credit cards, so you kindly offerred for me to write a check...but when I opened my checkbook, I was out of checks!! I was so embarressed, but you just told me to take the food home and come by some other time to pay the bill....you didn't even want my name or my number. I was floored by your gesture...that was AWESOME what you did, and it shows why Chesapeake Pizza is a staple in our city.\r \r Thank you for consistently providing great food and genuine hospitality. Pros: Best Pizza, Subs, Salads more

The Truth is in the Kitchen 1/4/2010

I'm a service repair tech, and I was recently in Chesapeake Pizza(my first visit) doing some equipment repair in the back kitchen. In 22 years of tech work, I have to say that this place had the CLEANIST kitchen that I have ever been to in any restaurant. It was mind-boggling that it was a 30+ year old kitchen and the level of cleanliness it was in.\r \r Anyhow, after my work was complete, I decided to take some food home for the family....and I just wanted to kick myself for not visiting this place sooner in all my years of living in the area.\r \r The Pizza was absolutley out of this world, and the subs were unbelievable!!!! Kudos to Chesapeake Pizza...customer for life from now on!! Pros: Delicious food...clean kitchen more

Wow!! Best Pizza!! 8/22/2009

This pizza is really good....I mean REALLY good! I've been travelling with the military for years, and I have eaten pizza from everywhere....and all I can say is that this place does it right! The best I've ever had...period.\r \r A great family-run restaurant.\r \r Adam Pros: Food, Service, Atmosphere Cons: cash only....but not a big deal more

Um...frozen crust - not so delicious 9/27/2008

We went here the other night and were not impressed! They didn't have fresh ingredients and the crust tasted as though it was frozen. We were really excited to go, but very disappointed (thank God for Dairy Queen next door!) The service was okay, but the food was under par. Pros: The service Cons: Um...the food more

Fantastic pizza! 2/18/2008

The best pizza in Hampton Roads, in our opinion. Fast service, quality food, courteous staff, plenty of parking and easy on the wallet. The parking lot is normally about 3/4 full, especially on weekends--but that's a testament to the taste and down home atmosphere! Pros: Fast service when not too busy. Great location in Great Bridge. Cheap Cons: Parking lot fills up on the weekends more

Amazing pizza and a fun, friendly atmosphere! 2/4/2007

My girlfriend and I have been regulars here for the past four years and the pizza is AMAZING! (Just greasy enough and served hot and fresh) For a couple, you only need about 15 dollars (that price includes tips) to pay for a large pizza and two drinks. Great value, excellent service, relaxed/laid-back atmosphere. I strongly recommend Chesapeake Pizza to anyone who wants to try the best pizza ever (I may be exaggerating, but I don't think so), but, I went to NYC and had real NYC Pizza and Chesapeake Pizza is far better. Pros: Pizza, Service, Atmosphere, Value, Parking Cons: Busy on the Weekends more

Great pizza and nondiscriminatory 2/4/2006

I've been coming to this restaurant since it was a hole in the wall in the 70's and the pizza is still fabulous! Everything's homemade and fresh--a nice change from restaurants that nuke the food. Also, as an Asian-American, I can say I've never had a problem of not being seated or served. A great family-sty;le place! Pros: resonable prices, clean, homemade pizzas more

The best in Hampton Roads 3/6/2003

Chesapeake Pizza is the homemade taste of Italy. This is not your normal imitation pizza. I wish we had more places like this to eat at these days. more

GREAT TIME PIZZA 2/7/2003

We stopped at Chesapeake Pizza a couple of months after moving to Great Bridge. The pizza was delicious, the bread sticks were good, and the salads are great. Highly recommended. Pros: Good parking, Great help, delicious aromas more

Great Veggie 1/2/2003

They have a veggie pizza that will make you swear off pepperoni for life! more

Simply Delicious! 11/27/2002

A traditional ""Mom and Pop"" pizzeria. Pizza is the main course of the menu and they do it well! Pros: convinient, nice people, great pizza Cons: dated decor more

Weak 11/15/2002

Visiting relatives in Chesapeake VA. Wanted Pizza and saw the reviews on this site pro and con for Chesapeake Pizza. I also will give a negative review. First of all the crust was thicker and tasted like pizza huts pan pizza. The sauce was OK, but the crust ruined it for us. The customer service was not very good either. We will not return and would not recomend to anyone else. The price was also very expensive. Pros: Sauce Cons: Crust more

Service sucks 11/11/2002

They will not let you dine in if you are a different race or color. That is discrimination and it is unfathomable in these days. I was very disappointed in their service and attitude. Cons: Discrimanatory, Rude, Not polite more

Best In The WORLD!! 10/24/2002

This is the best pizza anywhere in the country. I miss it badly. They have nothing in the desert southwest that even comes close to Chesapeake Pizza. Even Socal is lacking. They could sure use some lessons for pizza making out here in the west. But I suppose every pizza maker in America can learn something from these guys at Chesapeake Pizza. I envy all those who can still get it! Pros: Pizza is AWESOME more

YUMMY! 10/16/2002

This is the best place in Hampton Roads for pizza, period! It is a family owned resteraunt with Greek style pizza. The pizza has a unique flavor. The sauce is superb and they give you lots of cheese. If you ask for extra cheese you will die, OF CHEESE! The one problem is that they only take cash. You don't need a reservation, they have plenty of seating. Just go there! Pros: The Best Food Cons: Cash Only more

I know what I'm talking about. 8/13/2002

Chesapeake Pizza is not only the finest pizza in the Norfolk/Chesapeake area, it is the finest in the country. The sauce is impeccable, the crust always perfectly cooked, and the service is always friendly. I've dined there since I was a small child and always look forward to eating there when I can. Pros: inexpensive, excellent food, good service Cons: small parking lot, crowded, lots of kids more
