Avoid at all costs. 4/22/2010

My family started bringing our new kitten in every few weeks for a quick nail clip. Every time we walked into the establishment it was dirty, dingy, and poorly managed. The owner is constantly bad-mouthing his own clients while other customers wait to be assisted, and is swearing at his assistants and at the animals. When I called on the phone to make a drop-in appointment I was always given a very specific window of time which I held to. Often I was left waiting for 20-30 minutes because the owner had neglected to groom an animal that was already supposed to be ready to go. The last time I brought my cat in I waited 25 minutes to be served, listening to him swearing about his clientele the whole time. When my cat was brought in I saw him turn the carrier upside down and dump her on to the table. Then he comes to ask me if she bites. Well, she may do that if she's being mistreated. A few minutes later she was handed back to me in the crate with no word whatsoever and I left. I returned home to find my cat SOAKING wet and smelling of dog shampoo. He had clearly laid her on a table where he had just groomed a sick dog with a skin condition, and my cat was now nervous, shaking, and had soap suds on her. To give her back to me in this condition and have the gall to not say anything was some of the most unprofessional behavior I have ever witnessed. I spent a significant amount of time afterward trying to clean my cat and calm her down, hoping that she would not get sick from licking and of the soap that remained on her. If you care about the treatment of your animals, you will avoid this establishment at all costs. The owner clearly takes no pride in his work or his place of business. Everything is old, dirty, and the staff are consistently rude to customers and animals alike. If I had known that this was where my cat was being taken, I would have stopped my family from using this service along time ago. We now use Happy Pet Tails on Bell Blvd. and are much more satisfied. Pros: close location Cons: brutish owner, poor care of pets, no customer relations more

awesome petstore 4/1/2009

okayy so im a freak about my dog and i had to check out a lot, i mean a lot, of petstores before i decided to leave her anywhere. this place was number one. the layout is a little oldschool but as far as pet shops go this one i like. its in a cute town. the owner, eddy, at first he comes off as this grumpy guy but turns out hes cool he just is pretty busy back there. they really make sure your dogs safe. you NEED to have ur shot records for boarding. which may seem a little annoying but if your dog was in a kennel next to another dog that has rabies, youd be glad that they ask for them upfront ! oh and another good thing is that it doesnt have that same strange scent as most others. eddys daughters nice and welcoming, pretty too LOL. Pros: they love animals! more
