Malibu Nails

For years I frequented Malibu - from Jack to Cody and then Jen & Peter, they made you feel like family. Nice, hard working people who provided wonderful manicures and pedicures that looked great and LASTED! But all that changed in Jan 2009 when Jen & Peter went back home. I went there twice after Jen & Peter left and was very disappointed. Will never go back now. more

Alas, Malibu Beach is great no more. Jenny and her husband are gone (""on vacation,"" not coming back) and they don't have anyone there now who can do gel nails. Mine broke in one day. They worked on them again, and they broke again on the same day. Can't recommend them now. A typical manicure would have lasted longer than that. My partner & I have visited this salon on a number of occasions and find the staff to be very friendly and attentive to our needs. We've gotten a manicure & pedicure each time (got one today!) and can get both services for under $40. They're located in the Timberlyne Shopping Center near Subway. Clean environment and friendly staff. We love the massaging chairs and they take plenty of time with you cleansing, massaging, and clipping our nails. They don't rush you or make you feel like a number (they remember our names each time we return). Everyone gets full attention. I live in Durham and pass a number of salons everyday, but I'd rather make the trip over to their salon because we know that we'll get excellent service every time. You'll leave their place feeling like a million bucks! We certainly do. Jenny's our favorite!!! more
