Dirty......Smells........Staff is more concerned with the events of the weekend party than helping the animals. Dr. Kelly is the owner. Do not bother seeing her. Her care is poor....

Excellent hospital, we were not clients there, and we were able to run my dog right in on emergency, no questions asked, they immediately started to work on my pet even though they didnt know him, or us for that matter. He is alive today because of their fast reactions and care of him!!!! Highly Highly recommend! more

Caring and Loving Staff 8/30/2011

My German Shepherd, Akaii, had gotten hit by a truck about 2 months ago. It was 4 pm when I had called and being a new client I was sure that they would tell me to go to calumet, but the girls up front said the doctors wanted me to come in asap. I arrived in tears not sure if she was going to make it. Two technicians came out to the car to help me carry her in and the took her straight back. The girls up front were very patient with me and very understanding. After they seated me in a room, Dr. Kelly came in and asked me what happened and then said she was running bloodwork, they took x-rays, and they were going to do emergency surgery. Needless to say, after a two hour surgery she's still here with me today thanks to Dr. Kelly and her hardworking staff. I have no idea what I would do without them. more

Cowards who complain and won't give their name 4/17/2011

What? I have been a client of Crown Point Animal Hospital for 20 years. How did we meet? My cat looked like she was run over by a Mac Truck. Called Dr. Kelly and she informed me that our "Muffin" needed more care than she could provide, so we might want to go to Purdue to "make her well". I admired Dr. Kelly as she knows when she can help and when to seek additional care for our/your family member. Over the years I have called Dr. Kelly the miracle worker. We have had many instances where an emergency has occured. The Crown Point Animal Hospital has ALWAYS been there for me. I have a \r recent experience from this week alone. Our beautiful Debbie Rose had a life and death experience. She was given a second change for us to love her because of the dedication of the wonderful caring hands at the Crown Point Animal Hospital. They truly went above and beyond the call of duty to safe the life of our very sick girl. Debbie is not out of the woods yet, but I am confident that she will sur more

CPAH is top notch! 4/17/2011

I think Kaitlin L. and Craig L. obviously are related and have some ax to grind, having both written their very similar reviews on the same day. Don't know what their story is, but I have known Dr. Kelly and Crown Point Animal Hospital over 15 years and I have trusted them with my 3 golden retrievers during that time. I have also had the pleasure of touring their entire animal hospital, which has always been very clean on the many times I have visited. The staff is always very professional and I think the prices are pretty much on par with other clinics in the area. I have boarded my dogs there and been very happy with the service. One of my dogs ate some objects that she shouldn't have and had to have surgery to remove them. Dr. Bochnowski performed the surgery and was extremely thorough--she found a very small tumor on the intestines that could have killed her if she hadn't identified it and removed it at the time of removal of the foreign object. I saw dried blood on the wall, hair all over the floor and the sent of urine and poop filled the hospital. I will never go back to Crown Point Animal Hospital. more

By far the worst animal hospital I have ever been to. Dr. Kelly is a joke. I took my cat to her for blood work, and it took ther 3 weeks to call me back and when she did she could not answer my questions. The wait time is very long when you see Dr. Kelly. When she comes in to a room she is very fake, dresses like a homeless person wearing clothes that are 3 times to small, and her care is nothing to write home about. Steve, the guy she has working for her is very rude, and treats you as if you are stupid. The hospital is very dirty and smells of urine. On the bright side, Dr. Ross and Dr. Bachnowski are wonderful. I only had a chance to meet them twice, but loved them both. If the 2 of them opened up a hospital I would go there, but never again will I step foot in Dr. Kellys hospital again. Think twice before you go there. more

Life Savers!!!!!! 3/4/2008

I spent the weekend at the emergency clinic for my cat who eat string that got caught up in her intestines. They would not see her because I would not be able to pay for it all at once. I did not have $1500 so they basically told us to take her home and see if we can get in to our vet the next day. They also prepared us that she might not make it through the night. We had just moved to Crown Point from TN and did not have a vet. I called several vets in the area and ONLY Crown Point Animal Hospital (Dr. Bochnowski) would see her. I called hysterical and told them what was going on, and they do not take payment arrangement either (just like all the others), but Dr. Bochnowski thought with her heart and not her wallet and was not going to let an animal die because I do not have money. I can not tell you how it made me feel and I owe this women more than just a bill, I owe her my cats life! My cat is in recovery right now and expected to make a full recovery! not animal friendly 11/17/2007

My experience at the Crown Point Animal Hospital this past year, was in fact the WORST one I have yet encountered. My pets vet. Dr. Kelly returned my calls about my animal's blood test results almost a month after they were taken. My precious dog was violently ill, she could hardly stand up on her own. I was told there was nothing wrong with my dog and just to keep an eye on her. The place is very poorly run and it always smells of cat urine every time you enter the building. I was very disappointed that the owner who is Dr. Kelly could not return my calls and had what she called a tech call me,who could not properly answer my questions. I feel that during my pet's visit she was treated poorly and not cared for properly. It is a very unprofessional working environment for a Veterinary Clinic. I for one will never step foot into that building ever again. more
