I went to Nancy at Misano Salon because I saw a friend with a great cut. I was very happy with the personal attention she gave to my hair type to help pick a good style for me. The staff is friendly and professional and the decor is stylish and comfortable. I have only been going there for a few months but I have recommended it to friends. more

Misano staff are all both professional and friendly. Your styling needs will always be met whether your taste runs from trendy to punky, traditional or just looking for something new and fresh. Your appointsments are always punctual and arrival met with a warm greeting. My stylist Nancy, goes out of her way to please her clients in a professional manner. I would give 5 stars was it not for space....which will be resolved in a new larger space very soon! Love Misano....it is Chicago in the suburbs. more

I've been going to Misano for over 11 years now. Jackie is my hair stylist before she even worked here. I'm always happy with the color and cut every time. I've tried other places in between but always came back because I do not get a service like this anywhere else. Jackie always has fresh ideas as far as what to do with my hair and I always get complements on it. I'm a fan. more

love love love it here. i don't know what the heck smokinash's problem was but clearly that salon doesn't need clients like you and im sure they were glad you didn't go back. I always get the most amazing service and cuts and colors at misano. I feel all the stylist at misano are always keeping up with the latest trends and education. It has always been a pleasure to go and get my hair done and always will be. more

I have been going to Misano for several years now and would not think about going somewhere else. The atmosphere is warm and friendly. I have had nothing but exeptional service since the day I walked in the salon. They are the best! My daughter would never think of going anywhere else either. I was new to the area and stopped in at the last minute and was very lucky to have gotten in, I have had my hair done by many other people and needless to say my hair went from long to short. I loved my experience here, I was actually walked back and spoken to face to face about the details of my hair, my stylist was very down to earth and was genuine in the concern for my hair. She seemed very knowledgable about products I was asking about. Great recommendations on my hair as well! Overall fantastic experience, I will definitly be coming back! more

I totally agree with the CLUELESS review. I had the same thing happen to my hair when I went to get highlights. Despite my asking specifically if their colors had ammonia and that I was wary of the damage that ammonia causes, Nancy bleached my hair! I had no idea that my hair was going to be bleached until she started putting the stuff on my hair. I had got highlights many years before and my hair didn't have to be bleached because there were no colors or chemicals in it. But I think their philosophy is to get as many clients in and out in as short a time as possible and not bleaching would take longer! \r \r Not only that, the color was totally not what I wanted! I asked for a deep wine red/burgundy, I had also specified that I didn't want the highlights to show in normal indoor light, only show as a slight reflection in the sun, that's how dark I wanted them, but they were light brown! So I went back after a week and she again poured color on my head and got me out of there fast, it was better than before but still brown! There was totally no concern or professionalism towards the my hair and taking my concerns seriously.\r \r I""m just so disgusted with what they've done to my hair-it is pale, lackluster now, horible dull brown, and gets entangled and falls like crazy! It never used to entangle or fall before! I believe that's because of the bleach ruining the health and quality of my hair. And I'm so upset because my hair grows so slowly that it will be atleast 5-6 years before this mess grows out! \r \r Also, when I asked for some product to nourish my hair because of the chemicals that had been put in, she sold me shampoo and conditioner to make the color last instead of a protein treatment or something to get some shine and strength back in my hair! \r \r They lost me as a haircut client also because of their callous and careless attitude. I will forever regret going there for my highlights. Pros: Neat, nice staff, fine for haircut Cons: Don't care about your hair/concerns. TERIBLE IN COLORING more

I am so happy I tried this place. I went to see Gia. She is wonderful. My highlights came out perfect, exactly what I wanted. I recommend this salon to everyone. i loved my experience at this salon! it was so much fun, i went to get a color and laughed my butt off. my NEW favortie stylist is nancy! she knew exactly what i was trying to get. i looked like ugly bettty but came out eva longoria. the prices are a bit high but for what i got in return was worth it. I decided to try this place based on reviews. Sorry I did. I am a medium brunette and wanted some highlites Being the simpletons that they are,..the gal doing my highlites comes out w/one bowl of some white mixture. I knew I was in trouble,..I have been getting highlites/lowlites for almost 20 years, so I knew that would do nothing but strip my color . A truly talented colorist would take skin color into consideration,..and would use more than just one bland color for highlites. Sho-nuf! I looked like a skunk when she was thru! The highlites looked whitish yellow,..no, not blonde,..but yellow,.a pale yellow. And then I looked around and saw that the 3 brunettes there,..were basically getting the same color too! I don't think these people know what is going on,....they're the typical isolated, teenager & soccer mom crowded suburban salon,..w/no one knowing anything new and cutting edge. And what they charged me was insane!! I think the reviews are so great because no one knows anything better. Pros: near my home Cons: everything is a con,..especially their prices more

i love this place! i have never had color like this before!!!!!!! every time i come to this salon it always better and better. there is not anything they cant do. this place puts mario's to shame. you need to book in advance because they are very busy! i moved here from new york and i am so glad my friends refered me here! I've been going to this salon for 4 years. Not once have I had a bad haircut or color. The stylists always listens to what I want and helps me to achieve the best cut for me. I go to school out of town now and even when I call last minute for an appointment for when I am home, they try their very best to accomodate me. I have referred others to this salon and I will still keep doing so. The girls are great here and their comfy and fun atmorsphere will always keep me coming back! I have recently had an appointment at this salon and I had a wonderful experiance. The salon just exspanded, the stylist were knowledgeable and they listened to all my needs. the salon is clean and there were NO snooty people to be found. The prices were comparable to the area. But you get what you pay for great service, good people and a warm and friendly atmosphere. Pros: client communication, great services more

Great salon with knowledgable staff... but small and overbooked. I always feel as if I am being squeezed in... or they are squeezing people in during my services. Granted I always get a great cut, a cut and highlight should not take 4 hours. And the prices are arbitrary. My bill is never consistent for the same services rendered. The massage room in small, cluttered and noisy... as is the manicure room. And it is virtually impossible to get a weekend appointment, I waited 2 months to get back in with my stylist.
