Roofmaster Of Central Florida

This company has now filed for chapter 7 bankruptcy. I guess karma comes back around. I had a flat roof replace about 4 years ago, and have had nothing but problems with it ever since. They did a very poor job installing the gravel stop, and it has leaked at all the overlap joints ever since. They did come out about 2 years ago to ""fix"" the problem, but this past december, I found rotten wood in the exact same spots that they fixed. I called and got the run around for the past 7 months. They dragged out their promises to fix the problem until eventually they went out of business. It does not surprise me at all. Everyone I spoke with at that company basically lied to my face. I spoke with the owners son, Alister MacGowen, who does not know how to return phone calls. All he did was promise to call me back, and never would. The owner Trevor MacGovan and met with me twice and promised to fix the problems and then would never call me back. Now I have a roof that is less than 5 years old that I paid a lot of money for, and has done nothing but leak. I already hired another roofing company to fix some of the problems at a cost of $1300, but now the front half of the roof is leaking in spots too. They deserve to go out of business and I say good riddance to them and their dishonest crew. If I could give ZERO stars, I would. To they poor guy who paid extra for an extended warranty.... they STOLE YOUR MONEY MAN... they knew they were going out of business and took your cash anyway. We needed a roof recently and called Roof Master and some others for prices and were surprised to find Roof Master having one of the middle-of-the-road prices, but having an absolutely great office staff and in-person presentation. We ended up buying an optional manufacturer's labor warranty for only $450 and now have a leak-guarantee for 20 years! If I ever buy another house, I won't call anyone else for a roof! I hired Roofmaster to fix a leak in 2008. The same area started leaking again and Roofmaster has not fixed it. It has been 4 months and they keep saying it will be done.
