Best Gelato in Monterey 7/27/2007

Pino's Cafe has some of the best gelato I've had. I've been to Italy may times and Pino's Gelato rivals anything in Italy. The owner makes it and told me he imports all his ingredients (except the milk) from Italy. He is a third generation gelateria owner and is very proud of his product. Everytime I'm in Monterey, I go and have Gelato at Pino's- even if I have to wait in line. Some of the best! Pros: great location, great ambiance, dog friendly Cons: can be very busy more

Bad Gelato, worse service 5/27/2007

I would go to the ends of the earth, and endure many hardships for Gelato. . .When I was last in Rome, I slept on the pavement of the train station so I could afford one more creamy scoop! So believe me when I claim to know my Italian Ice Creams. Pros: Location, Location, Location Cons: Location doesn't excuse the lack of service ethic more
