the visailia alano club caters to caucasion men and women with alcohol and substance abuse problems,especially motorcycle riders. Even though they are alcoholics from all walks of life african-americans, hispanics,mentally ill,gay and lesbians,and others not associated with main stream caucasion men and women,the visalia alano club seems to forget that. THE TWELVE STEPS ARE FOR ALL ,not just for a selected few. If you ever wanted to know what it was like in nazi-Germany in the 1930's go to the visalia alano club. The atmosphere becomes more like a aryan brotherhood meeting then a meeting about the twelve steps. Other races and creeds, and anyone who don't fit in the mainstream of white america are made to feel unwelcomed. The Visalia Alano Club welcomes anyone with a drug or alcohol problem. We get people from all walks of life and don't care about race, color or creed. We work the Twelve Steps and try to practice the Principles in all of our affairs. We get very few ""bikers"" and the ones who do come are always nice. After all, they are in recovery, too. I can't believe that someone would bash the Alano Club. This place has helped so many people of so many different races. Odviously you had a bad experience. But to try and get people to stay away because of your resentments is really wrong. I feel you should get ahold of your sponsor and work some steps.
