This amazing bakery can be found in 3 diffrent cities. (Glendale, Pasadena, Anaheim) They have great pasteries and yummy cakes. The best is their Cashew cookies which are soooo GOOD!! They also have diffrent cakes ranging from Tiramisu to Chocolate Mousse Cake.. This is a family own business so you know everything is freshly hand made.. Pros: Cookies & Cakes Cons: None.. more

Great local family bakery 11/20/2007

This Glendale bakery (like many in Glendale) are family owned and operated. This is one of those places where you walk in and take 30 minutes to just look through the cases...and that's BEFORE you decide what you want to go into the pink box(es). Of course there is the deliciously sweet honey-drenched baklava (which is to die for, by the way), but if you're not into overly sweet indulgence, they have several cakes (served by the piece) that are lightly sweet and have whipped cream frosting, as opposed to the heavy butter cream we see in traditional American style bakeries. If you're near Glendale Ave and Chevy Chase...stop in and grab a treat. You won't regret it. more

Best Baklava Ever!!! 8/1/2006

Sarkis Pastry and I go way back...over 20 years! I can remember enjoying my first baklava as a little girl...heaven.. My mom has been going forever and she loves the baklava, sweet pastries (raspberry, tiramisu, chocolate etc.), cookies, pistachio pastries, and the Zulubia; an extremely sweet pastry that looks like a pretzel. My boyfriend has a fix for Sarkis and he's drooling as we speak. I love the fingers, diamonds, cookies (coconut and the assorted pack), you name it. They also have decorative looking Marzipan candies that look like fruits and vegetables. I've always had the cakes and tarts at birthdays. It's good to try new things. Trust me!! We love Sarkis!!! Cashew Cookies 1/31/2006

First time I tried this place, I was impressed. Especially with the little Cashew topped cookies - they are my favorite. Cakes and other selections were very good too. But if you try anything - try the Cashew cookies - they rock. more
