What I have learned about Camarillo Dental Group in the year I was a patient:\r \r If they say you need work done--get a second opinion.\r \r If they do work--get a second opinion --to ensure they actually did it.\r \r If they say your insurance covers part of a procedure, when they schedule the procedure--be prepared when you sit down in the chair at the procedure--they will say your insurance no longer is accepted and ....the base price of the procedure will also go up.\r \r When I realized a main portion of my procedure was not done (Yet paid for)-the office manager actually said to me--""The doctor must have forgot to do that part of your procedure, he's just human after all, haven't you ever forgot anything?"" --Yes, he said this (!?!?!?!?!)\r \r Still unsure if they are just super incompetent or actually actively scamming patients--neither is a quality you want in a dentist's office.\r more

This is the SHADIEST and most unethical dental office I have ever been in! They initially advised more work to be done than was necessary, and tried to up-sell other unnecessary treaments. Then upon calling me to schedule the scope of work, tried to convince me that extensive things such as numerous root canals and extractions, as well as appliances, were necessary. These things had never been talked about with the dentist, so I thought maybe the files had gotten mixed up. When I questioned that, they called back with yet an entirely different story about what was necessary to be done. And this was all on an innocent child who is already very fearful of the dentist! \r \r They should be ashamed of themselves.They also lied about their ability to both send and receive records from other dental offices. They actually HUNG UP on another dental office that was requesting records, so that they could do a free 2nd opinion consultation. \r \r I relayed all of this to two other people in the offic more

Dr. Mar is excellen and her staff makes you feel welcomed and personal. They also offer variety of choices on finances which helps a lot in this economy. treatment done was above and beyond my expectation. I walked in with a broken tooth and left with a fixed tooth all within an hour. My bite has always been an issue, but wow she did a great job. This place deserves recognition.! more

I have never had a smooth dental appointment like this. I just had to share my experience with everyone. I had 2 fillings done, cleaning and whitening all on the same appointment. NO PAIN!!! I didn't even feel the SHOT. I was well taken care of. everyone kept checking on me. Dr Mar was amazing!!! all the girls are just super caring. superb experience. Really , I felt like family, while I was getting my whitening done all I heard was other happy patients giving the doctors hugs and everyone just laughing and happy. I feel like I have found a place for life. more

Wow! I am very pleased that I chose Camarillo Dental Group. I had gone to a dentist in Camarillo for many years and was very unhappy. Going to a new dentist and dental group was not something I was looking forward to. I stopped in and spoke with Ruth and others before I made my appointment. I called them to make an appointment after my insurance was in place and was treated with kindness and professionalizm. When I came in for my appointment I was treated the same way. Ruth is great. She had me sign for the on-line information I had provided and made me feel like I had been a patient for ever. After completing the information I was greeted by Rosie who took xrays and explained what would happen next. She was great! I am equally as pleased with Dr. Leoni. He is an excellent dentist. We discussed some issues I wanted to bring to his attention then he examined and cleaned my teeth. I am so....glad I chose Camarillo Dental Group. I would recommend them to anyone. more

I just wanted to write and thank my doctor for being so kind to me. Iam sorry I was so scared and a bit sceptic of what you told me at first. I ended up getting a second oppinion and got some of the work done with another dentist. I had to return to your office because the tooth broke after the other guys worked on it, and you had told me to take it out. I ended up spending more money. but at lease now I know youll take care of me. Thank you Dr Mar for being very honest and upfront with me about my teeth. My filling feel good and I have no pain on the new crown you did for me few days ago. Gentle and effeicient. I am very comfortable with my dentist. I recomend her to anybody after being to so many other dentists. more

decided to shop around for a crown that was reccmended by my dentist. came to camarillo dental group and realized that I didn't need a crown. I guess my tooth already had a crown on it and only the white part of it (the enamel part ) had worn out and the rest of it was still protecting my tooth. So It was a cosmetic thing to change the crown. Anyways, I really appreciated the doctors honesty and care. Ididn't realize they had childrens doctor .So I brought my kids and loved their children section also. they are very caring and made me feel very welcome and comfortable. I have already told bunch of people about them. two thumps up from me! more

just lost my insurance went to my old dentist and he wanted $1000 for a crown to fix my tooth. Its the last tooth in my mouth. I got in today to see a dentist here and she told me that she could fix it for $600 by putting a partial crown on it which is i guess better for the tooth. I decided to do it because it was cheaper then the other dentist. It turned out to be pretty easy, Iam done, they have a machine that makes crowns while you wait. my tooth is hurting me anymore. So it worked out well. The office is very nice, the DDS was very caring. They seem to be super busy, but I was in and out in an hour. I will return to them for my regular check ups, I saw a female DDS. But they all seemed really nice. They are pretty up front about their costs, which I like I signed all the paper work and the costs before DDS started to work on me so there was no confusion at the end on how much I owe. Dr Mar and her staff is GREAT!!!!!\r I was looking for some cosmetic work on my front teeth so I found Dr Mar's name off of the American Cosmetic Dentistry society. I had veneers done by her on my front teeth. I am speechless, I am very happy with her work, my teeth look very natural and I look very presentable now! \r Thanks for all the hard work. painless dentistry at great cost.\r I used to go to another dentist for a long time, he stopped taking my insurance, so I decided to try these guys.. I must say for $850 I got my crown done on the same day, which is what I used to pay to my old dentist across the street from camarillo dental group. the staff is very kind, Dr. Mar is excellent, I didnt even feel the shot she gave me. Very high tech, very impressed by their professionalism, they were very busy, but they gave me all the attention that I needed. I am not one to usually write reviews, but I felt that they deserve to be recognized. more

I don't normally write reviews, because I'm never really compelled to do so unless my experience was out of this world good or bad. Lets just say, my experience with Camarillo Dental Group was awful. DO NOT GO TO THIS DENTAL GROUP.\r \r I just moved to the area a few months ago and needed to see a dentist. Although I normally only see Drs with their own practices, I got a same-day appt at this place so I decided to give it a try. \r \r After waiting over 30 mins (with an empty waiting room) I got xrays and Dr. Mar came into the room, and without even looking at my teeth, told me I needed two root canals and two other composite fillings, based on the xrays. I told her I had no pain in my teeth and asked her if there was a more conservative procedure we could try, she said that endodontic treatment was the only option to save my teeth. she leaves the room and moments later a woman walks in and tells me that two root canals (along with two crowns) and two fillings will cost me about 5000 out more

My experience with this dental nothing but bad. Bad customer serivice and love to do work that my dental does not cover. I wanted the service that my dental insurance would just cover however, they woul,d not do it until i pay $1,400. So I di not get any work done and reported to my job. When my tooth was hurting I called to make a appointment. Went to the appointment to just find out the denist would not see me because I reported them to my job and ask me to leave and not come back. Dr. Mar is the wrost denist I ever dealed with she needs to take a class on customer service skills and not over chrage her patiences. Her staff is very rude!!!!! more

Went over there a few weeks ago. Last few times I went I had Dr. Nas. Before her I had Dr Mar who i couldnt stand. I felt she always was pushy and would tell me I needed loads of work done. Dr Nas explained everything to me, and actually spent time with me. I normally hate the dentist but felt really comfortable with her. Went back there a few weeks ago and was sad that Dr Nas was no longer there. Theres no way I will be going back there now since she's gone. I loved her. Anyone know where she went? All the other Drs there are scammers. They just want your money! STAY AWAY!!! more

I love my dentist. I had crowns done on my teeth. my teeth were so bad! I love my new teeth. Dr Mar made me feel so comfortable, I was so scared because I never had work done like this before, my gums were swallen and I had so much pain before I saw her I was crying. I am very happy I came to see her. she is so nice and calm and made me feel very special the whole time. more

Then you look at the sign-in sheet, and only one or two people have been there all day, and here it is near closing time- hmmm... Then you see all of their brand new, high tech equipment- new PC to fill out your info, none of that hand written, old-fashioned stuff. Then you see their expensive, state of the art laser crown-making machine. How do they afford this on $39 specials?? Anyway, you get a ton of xrays on the latest, expensive equipment, not to mention their high-tech pen sized digital camera that photographs the inside of your mouth! This place reeks of $$$! Pros: none Cons: Bad cleaning, Lies, Greedy more

So far, things are alright- then comes the dentist who pretends to be your friend, but is more like a used car salesman. He looks over the teeth, then says that I need thousands of dollars of work done!! (I've never needed dental work in my life, and I'm in my 40's!) He had the financing woman come in to go over their 'options' since they 'care so much' about working with my limited finances. ( I got a second opinion later from a real dentist who said that he was just trying to con $ out of me since there was absolutely nothing wrong with my teeth and that they were in great shape!!!) So then, they go through with the quickest, most incomplete cleaning I've ever seen, they basically use a water-pick and polish the fronts of the teeth in less than 10 minutes. Most of the time was spent on xrays and their financing, and my teeth still had stains from before! It is angering how these guys can lie to your face, thinking only of the $ they can get. After all of their scare tactics, you can't help but go through much stress and mental anguish that your teeth are falling apart; how to pay for all of this expensive work, and then the suffering you'd go through. If I fell for their scam, I'd have a monsterous bill I couldn't afford, drilled up and ruined teeth with fillings that they'd need to replace over the years, pain,.... and all of it for a scam!!!!! Poor cleaning at best; con-artist scams.... I warn you to avoid this place at all costs- their Bait of $39 is a lure to trap and ensnare you in their money-making prison. I later learned from a co-worker that he had the same experience!!! Pros: none Cons: Bad cleaning, Lies, Greedy more
