PETSMART

This place is out to get every dime you allow them to take from you. I took my pet there 2 weeks ago for a few days while I traveled. The following morning after I dropped him off, I received a call stating they were going to take my pet to Banfield because of blood his urine and I agreed for them to take him. After a few hours I got a call back from Banfield wanting to go over the bill and they were trying to charge a ridiculous amount over $400 for all kinds of test that they want to run. I authorized them to do what was necessary to keep him comfortable. They gave him meds to take for a few days, unitl I could get back to take him to our vet. That cost me $150 on top of having to pay the hotel which was $158. The problem my pet was having miraculously cleared up before I got back in town because there was no sign of him urinating blood again. Ok, I needed to go out of town again, which has just been 2 weeks from this previous incident, and I took my pet back to Petsmart. He wasn't there 24 hours before I got a call at 8:30 am stating he is urination blood and needs to be taken to the vet. I called Banfield myself and the vet got on the phone, and stated what test she wants to run and the test were different from what I was told 2 weeks ago and wanted to charge me almost $400. I explained to her that my pet was just there 2 weeks ago with this so called same problem, so why is it that the past 2 times I brought my pet this hotel he starts to urinate blood. I told her that when I dropped him off the day before he peed outside Petsmart and no sign of blood. Seriously, do they really think that people don't pay attention to their pets to not notice if they are peeing blood?? Really?? After the second time of this happening in a 2 week period, I'm done with Petsmart Hotel. I had to call around to make arrangments for someone to pick my pet up and care for him until I get back. The sad thing about it is, the person that picked him up hasn't had a problem with blood in urine. So that tells me they are liars and cheating people because they know people love their pets. more

When we need a place to assure grooming and pet care will be consistent and high quality, we turn to this PetSmart! Our dog can't get inside fast enough. He LOVES doggie day care and all those who are so caring toward him. We've kept him there overnight for one and two night stays, and he does fine. If there is a down-side, it may be that the dogs never see natural daylight or outside air, but it doesn't seem to bother our dog. And the grooming salon is consistently responsive to my specific requests. No injuries, and all dogs I've observed seem to be treated very well. more

Reservations were made two months in advance with the Pet Hotel for a week's stay (in a suite) for our family's two 7 month old shep/lab mixes. The suite reservations included doggie day camp and treats for each day and the top of the line bath package for each pup. These puppies are our family's first puppies and we were under the impression that remaining in the Petsmart circle of services was the best choice. Banfield provides our vet services, pups were adopted at Petsmart, we participate in the Petsmart trainings, pups are groomed at Petsmart, and all foods, crates, bedding, etc had been purchased at or through Petsmart until recently...expenses average $700 - $1,000 per month for the two puppies - spent only at Petsmart. Cons: Not in the best interest of clients/pets more
