I Love Dr. Knapp and all the staff at Crosby Vet they are caring and are very affordable all my animals go dogs and horses. I have been with them many years and even though it has changed management or ownership they do a good job and are compassionate with your animals they offer affordable prices and advise when you call even tell you if it is a problem you can fix yourself without spending a bunch of money going to the vet. I love all of them there and will never use another vet as long as I own animals. LOVE CROSBY VETERINARIANS AND STAFF!!!!!! more

I am a longtime client of Crosby Veterinary Clinic. Contrary to what people may say about CVC, over the years day or night they were there for me whenever I need help with my animals. Dr. Knapp and Dr. Kaufman and the staff of girls have excelled in their effort to help me. Things may not always go as planned in life pets may live and pets may die, but after battling cancer you learn who your friends really are and Crosby Vet is my friend forever. Thanks GANG!!!!!!! We had taken pets there before for regular check ups and no problem things but then our dog was attacked by another dog. This is the clinic that the attacking dogs owner said she would pay for and since there had never been any issue with them we had no problem. We were wrong. We had gone to an emergency clinic during the night and received records that she would need surgery but the attacking dogs owner would not pay for it there because of the price. We brought our dog in to this clinic and they told us that she would need surgery, and totally understood that someone else would pay for it. I got not one but two calls from the other dogs owner stating that the vet had called her with information on how our dog was doing. They were cutting me, the owner, out of the loop and only contacting the person paying. After I pointed this out I was at least one of the people called. \r She had the surgery and we were told she had done fine and that we could pick her up the next day. The next day came and we went to go pick her up. When we arrived the next day there was an issue with her medication they were prescribing and at the desk I pointed out in her chart the meds she had received at the other clinic. Her records were all in tact and complete. A moment later we were called back to let us know that our dog was pretty much on deaths door (even though just an hour before she was perfectly fine.) She passed while we were in the clinic. I asked for her records back only to be presented with an empty chart and told that our records had been 'misplaced'. After 4 phone calls to the clinic and more than a month later I was told on the phone that they would give me a copy of the bill because that is all there was and that according to the law they did not need to keep records from another clinic and since our dog had surgery,'it's not like a person where records of surgery have to be kept.' so, there is no record. (even though, when we got there I saw with my own two eyes a full chart.) DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMALS HERE!!!They are too busy for complicated matters. The waiting room is always full and the front desk staff is extremely rude and not compassionate at all. While we were waiting an argument happened between a customer and the front desk, they were very rude to her and continued to mock her even after she left, in front of everyone in the waiting room... more

Well I took our dog to this vet to be spaded. She came home and was okay for the first few days. I came home after she was spaded and she was throwing up and passing blood. I called the vet to tell them about and they said to bring her in so they could check her. Well I was going to wait one day to see how she was doing. WRONG, I came home and she had passed away. I found blood and other thing she had thrown up all over the floor again. My son took his dog here several years ago for something and they gave her the shot she needed. Then she came home and then her brother died a few days later. Well his dog came in heat and her vigina was out of her body. They spaded her.BUT did not put her vigina back. I had to take her to my vet in Livingston and they ask me why they did not put it back. more

I am a frequent customer at Crosby Vet as a dog breeder. I have been there for everything from puppy shots to laboring mamas and then some! It's always a wait, but I enjoy watching the other dogs that come in while we visit with their owners. Some of the staff is a little rude and stressed due to their heavy patient load, but most of them are wonderful and very smart at what they do! The doctors are all up to speed on what's going on every time I go in there. I love the small, hometown feel from the docs and their assistants. The fees are reasonable and affordable, and overall, it's a great experience! more

I am never taking my animals to Crosby Vet ever again! They didn't do a surgery correct the first time and my animal had to be brought in AGAIN, but they said it was fine. I called around many other places and was told there was something wrong and that he needed to be brought in to get it corrected. My poor animal has been in a lot of pain and not himself. He has an infection and has to go through surgery all over again because Crosby Vet couldn't do it correct the FIRST time. From previous experiences, for just getting nails clipped or flea medicie, the staff isn't that nice and don't care about you or your animal, they just seem to be worried about getting you in and out and getting your money. more

Since moving from Alabama, I have used Crosby Veterinary Clinic and love it. The comment that was made that it is not a ""powder puff"" vet's office is absolutely correct. The thing that you can see instantly is that these guys (and girls) know what they are doing....and they are not going to fill you with a lot of fluff. I respect their heart for this business as it is definitely not easy. You have to have way more education and training in this field and a passion to go along with it. We will continue to use this vet as long as we live here as will many others that I work with at Youth-Reach Houston. Thanks to your team! more

Just for everyones knowledge---- I have been using Dr.Wagers and his staff for well over 30 yrs my parents used them before me -- this is not the powder puff vet office that holds your hand to tell you how wonderful you and your pet are. These are the real mcoys they are here for the health of your pet -- if you want someone to charge the crap out of you to hold your hand then you are going to the wrong place. These Vets are the Best for giving you the facts even if you dont like what you hear. I would never and have never in all my 44 yrs of life gone anywhere else withany of my 5 dogs-- 4 cats-- 5 horses and you name the ferrets, found wildlife etc. more

Have always loved Crosby vet until I had to take my 16 year old dog to be put to sleep. The lady at the window was very nice - but the girl (dark hair - young) was very very disrespectful and didn't care about what she was doing. The lady at the window didn't even tell the workers what i wanted done so i went back there with my dog and had to tell them again. The girl started getting out a needle and i said ""i don't want to be in here!"" so i waited, then the girl opened the door when she was done and said ""OK"" I waited and waited and opened the door and there was my dog with her head hanging off the table, tongue out and inside a plastic bag. Have some decency and respect for your customers. It was a horrible experience and because of that, I'll never be back. they need to quit hiring these stupid rude young girls who dont' know what they're doing. more

Been the best vets I have ever been to. They know what they are doing and you better be prepared to keep up with their pace. Right down any questions before hand so you do not get lost. They are very straight forward, but considerate. They also do not do anything you do not want done. They do not push drugs unless they are for the best interest of your animal. Their pricing can not be beat. They can get very crowded, be very overwhelming, and be overworked. A no frills country vet, no form over function here. I was so excited to visit this clinic but was let down by the nursing and doctor staff. They seemed to only get the patients in and out. I was new there and not one greeted us( Me and my best friend) and they did not care to get to know us. We will keep looking for a good vet for my best friend. Adopted a Lab after the hurricane , They came highly recommended when i first got there it was like choas poeple were standing around inside and out no room on the inside so i took my dog outside to wait had to wait about an hour or so but my dog had a blast playing with everyone there , when we got called back (they did come outside to get us) everyone was so nice and professional , poor baby had to get her shot's and everything and they were quick efficent my baby didn't even notice that she got a shot lol . One of the Asst. even gave her a hug before we left and they called a few days later to check on her . This place was worth the wait and the chaos and i will be taking my two kitteh's up there and we have an appt. to get my dog fixed and i know that they will take care of al three of my pet's for along long time !!!!!!!!! Pros: absolutly best care for your pets , affordable for anyone , Cons: long wait time since there is no appt. but worth it 1! more

I don't think you could find finer Doctors in any state. We are very fortunate to have the Crosby Team of Doctors here for us. Not only do they love and care for animals, they go the extra step. We use Crosby Clinic, all of our friends use them and members of our family use them. In fact, my grandsons horse had an incident of colic and these great Doctors not only came out, they returned in the middle of the night, then before they turned in for the evening, they called to check on the condition of ""Mickie"". You just can't get better than this. And, did I mention their fees, for the peace of mind and care of our beloved animals, you would spend more on theatre tickets and dinner. They are the only Vets I know that honest to God care about animals more than the almighty $$. Thank you for being here, June Pros: You walk away understanding everything happening with your animals. Dr. Hoffman (aka Jimmy) is an awesome veterinarian! He has been treating my animals since he first came to Crosby, and today he once again confirmed why I am so pleased with Crosby Vet Clinic. He came out to float the teeth on two mares that are very nervous and hate to have their teeth floated. He was patient, kind, and did a great job. It is always a pleasure to work with Jimmy! I have been going to this Vet for 20 years and have never been disappointed. Dr. Wagers has taken care of my animals that ranges from my horse down to my cat. Always affordable, always kind and polite. And you can bet that they are on the edge of veterinary medicine, he brings in interns from the Texas A&M school. Great value for the dollar.
