Don't ever use Gabby's Bakery!!! I placed an order for my Aunt's Baby Shower this being my Uncle's First Daughter. So I explained this to the owner a man named Cruz. He said not a problem, I'll have the cake ready for u on Sat the 20th at 10 am. It was to be a two tier chocolate cake with butter cream filling for both tiers and as well as having three cup cakes on the top tier. Needless to say I showed up at 12 noon and his wife came out and said there's no cake here, are u sure u placed that order here? As i replied yes i placed it with ur husband she walked back and told him I was there to pick up the cake he said hold on as he looked in the coolers and came to me and said oh it's not done yet give me an hour. I replied then why did she say there was no order and why do u looked shocked to see me. Cruz said well u can come back and the cake will be ready. i replied no i need that cake now i ordered it for 10 am and it's not even done is it! Don't lie to me u didn't even make it! Cruz then said I didn't make it I forgot with a smile on his face he says oh sorry> then he started to say i was busy and the truth is I forgot. I left upset and went to My Bakery there the best I always use them but they couldn't decorate the cake the way i wanted it so I tried Gabby's Bakery and got screwed over Never Again. My Bakery taste better and Never Forgets ur order there number is 818-361-6100 Cons: They forgot to make my cake more

I would NOT recommend Gabby's Barkery to ANYONE. I went in to order a birthday cake for a friends birthday. I had explained to them in detail for about 15-20 minutes what I wanted and was assured they could customize the cake to my wishes. I was charged a premium for my customization and I was fine in paying extra as it was a very special occasion as it was mentioned to the person taking my order. I ordered the cake a week in advance and paid at the time of ordering in full. I even left my telephone which the person did not ask for in case they had questions or needed to contact me. When I picked up the cake it was a different person working and I was going directly to the party to where the cake was to be served. The cake I was given was completely bland and nothing what I had described and ordered and paid extra for. I was shocked I was charged a premium for a cake I could have picked up at Ralphs or Food 4 Less. I did not have time to discuss my displeasure with the person working that day. So I took the bland cake to the party. It was disappointing delivering this cake as a birthday cake. The following day on December 28, 2009 I wrote and mailed a letter to the Bakery regarding my disappointment. I went in detail as to my expectation and their lack of taking good notes and meeting the detail that was described at the time of ordering. I provided my full contact information, address, telephone and email address to contact me to possibly discuss the incident. I wanted to voice my displeasure so they understood how dissapointed I was I was hoping maybe I'd get an apology or an offer in refund for the premium I was charged. I waited till today February 8, 2010 I have not received a single response, email, phone call, letter of any sorts regarding my disappointment. Its unfortunate that the owner of Gabby's Bakery simply does not care about their reputation or their customers. I would not order a cake or baked goods from Gabby's Bakery as no effort on their part was made to at least apologize. Birthday's and special occasions only come once a year or once in a while and I would hate for anyone else to be left disappointed on creating life long memories. Because clearly the owner of Gabbys Bakery simply does not care. Cons: BAD CAKE, BAD SERVICE, BAD EVERYTHING! more
