Worst Food 7/30/2010

I was eating Pho for lunch on Wednesday. I usually eat at Pho Yen Hoa Viet Restaurant but they are closed on Wednesday. So I went to Miss Saigon. The food was not that good at all. I was with my friends and they think that Pho Yen Hoa is way better than this place. I would have to agree with them. Definitely not coming back here again. more

Good ambiance, but go to Kien Giang for the food and value 3/15/2010

Food was good, but everyone in our party of 6 agreed Kien Giang's food was better. Service was okay, not great. Would go back only on Mondays when Kien Giang is closed. Pros: Nice atmosphere Cons: Expensive compared to Kien Giang, service not great more

BAD SERVICE 9/6/2009

This place I went to a couple of days ago that served pho. This place had pho, but it was not as I suspected to be. The pho was very horrible. I also found frozen meat still in the pho. When I bit into it, it was hard as a rock. I would not recommend this place to my friends. Cons: frozen food more

World Class 7/5/2009

I've traveled the world for 44 yrs. Always eat in the best restaurants I can find. This one is WORLD CLASS. The Pho is beyond compare. I just hope their business is brisk enough for them to stay open for a long long time Pros: The Food can't be beat! more

Poor service and very bad food 3/13/2009

The food here was awful. The Pho bowls, Vermecelli bowls, and Com dishes was very sweet. It was like before they served it they added sugar to it. The service here was also very horrible. I order one thing and they gave me another. I also found a piece of alumimum foil and hair in my Pho noodle soup. They had flys and ants around the table I was sitting at. more

Best Vietnamese In Town 12/6/2007

I love vietnamese but have had difficulties finding a good restaurant in the Nashville Area. After living in Cool Springs for three years and never once even recognizing the place, a friend recommended it. It's in the Target shopping center so you don't expect much and the decor isn't fabulous. But the food and the service is always wonderful. There are a couple servers with sense of humors that not everyone will get, but once you've been in enough you'll quickly understand it's just humor. I love the spring rolls, the curry chicken and just about any soup on the menu. Pros: Great food at a great price. Cons: Not the best ambience. more

Beef Noodle Soup And Egg Rolls Are So Good! 9/15/2007

When I go to Miss Saigon, I always order the spring roll as the appetizer and the beef noodle soup for the main dish. I did try several kinds of beef noodle soup and they are all delicious, the soup always comes out very hot with the fresh vegetables. I just tried the Vietnamese desert for the first time yesterday. I love it and I will order it next time for sure! Pros: Great food! more

NOT GOOD PHO OR SERVICE-VERY DISAPPOINTED 8/10/2007

My husband and I were visiting Nashville and wanted to take our friend out for her first experience with Vietnamese food. We live in Oak Ridge, TN so am not too familiar with this area...so we took a chance! Boy...was I disappointed. We ordered Pho (Beef Noodle Soup) for my friend, my husband had Com Xuon, Bi, Trung, Dau Hu Ky (Rice with pork chops, shredded Pork Skin, fried egg and fried tofu), and I had Mi Xao Don Do Bien (Crispy Fried egg noodles with seafood). For appetizers we had Cha Gio (Egg Rolls) and Goi Cuon (Spring Roll)...these were OK.\r \r The Pho broth was very, very sweet....too much sugar or MSG or both. The Xuon (pork chops) had char siu (red seasoning used in Chinese cooking) seasoning on it and it also was too sweet. And my Mi Xao came out cold with three shrimps, three pieces of squid and lots of vegetable...it too was too sweet. Everything was too sweet...if you don't know the difference between Vietnamese food this place is decent, but if you know the difference this place is horrible!\r \r The server brought out two bowls of Pho, when we only ordered one bowl. So, the server who took our order came to the table and was mad and convinced that we ordered to bowls. It was very intimidating because he just stood there and looked at me...like how dare you send this bowl back!\r I am use to most Vietnamese restaurants having ""blunt"" service, meaning order your food, eat and leave but this guy was just plan RUDE.\r \r The atmosphere was horrible in there and it had a very bad smell...I would rather go to a place that played loud Vietnamese music...it was so quit in there.\r \r There are several other Vietnamese resturants very nearby and next time I will try out Kien Giang even if the dont accept credit cards. \r \r What gives me the right to judge this restaurant? I am Vietnamese and have had my fair share of Vietnamese food and I spoke Vietnamese to the server when I ordered the food for the table. \r \r \r \r Pros: Vietnamese food is always a Great Value! Cons: Bad service and bad food! more

Delicious yet so inexpensive! 9/3/2006

Start order your drinks, any drink. I usually order heineken beer or Tsing tao beer! and start your appetizer with a spring rolls, oh yum! and then enter the vermichelly with roast pork and shrimp!... It will cost you just shy to $10.00! unbelievable!!! Pros: Foods are fantastically good and inexpensive Cons: location hard to find more

Great vermicelli bowls and Pho 8/8/2006

Not a place for atmosphere but very reliable with their food (I too have sampled Vietnamese cuisine in SoCal :-) Try the vermicelli bowl with charbroiled chicken or with pork and BBQ shrimp - yum! Also quite good for pho. Seems less popular than the neighbor Kien Giang (sp?) but this place always has the better food. Their (cold) spring rolls wrapped in rice paper makes a good appetizer. Pros: good relieable food, good prices, accomodating service. Cons: cigarette smoke sometimes a problem more

Not very good 7/20/2006

We were given cold spring rolls. They could've at least warmed them up in the microwave! The BBQ pork did not have the right flavor and the bean drink wasn't very good with the big Lima beans in it. We are originally from Southern California's ""Little Siagon"" so we know what things should taste like. This place fails the mark of acceptable Vietnamese food. Pros: No blaring loud Vietnamese variety shows on the big screen Cons: Food was Poor more

Great Cheap Eats 7/5/2006

I really love this place. As with most Vietnamese restaurants, it is very inexpensive. This place has the best spring rolls in town...very generous with pork and shrimp. And #58 on the menu is to die for. My husband and I usually share this entree along side a couple orders of spring rolls. Less than $13! Pros: CHEAP more
