STAY AWAY....Don""t buy a car form this guy. He is a liar and a bully. I purchased a car for my son, which has had nothing but problems since day one. I purchased a 90 day warranty which Bill never filed or paid for. He has lied to the dealer commission myself and my son and continues to claim he did file the warranty, I didn't want a warranty, etc. (in spite of paperwork that documents otherwise) He cant even keep his own lies straight. We are stuck with a vehicle that has $2000.00 in need repairs and no warranty. more

Bill is great UNTIL you have a problem. There is a whole different side of him which is mean, threatening and I caught him in two lies. I will never go there again or recommend his cars to anyone. I test drove about 6 different vehicle and 5 of them had extensive motor problems. \r My suggestion is no matter where you go, have the car looked at from a reputably garage before buying. more

DONT BUY A CAR HERE!!!!!! If you have problems with an already arranged deal made with Bill he will give you the option to pay for his mistakes or beat you up or threaten to arrange to have you beaten up, then tell you to take you POS car and get off his lot!!!! My husband just went to show him all of the paint peeling off all over the car that bill ""had fixed"" and he threatened to beat him up or have him beat up. Our car looks 100% WORSE now than it did before Bill had the paint touched up! more

My sister and I both bought cars at this place! We were very happy about it! He's a nice honest man and took real good care of our cars before buying it. My sister has the car for a year now and I have it for 4 months and we are both very satisfied. We felt really comfortable about the purchase, as opposed to different places we've been to where it felt 2 chicks buying a car was easy prey... As I said, this place was nothing like that and for the very first time, I felt comfortable buying a car. Thanks very much!! Donna P. more

Does not stand behind vehicle! Bought a car that immediately had issues: power steering pump, then car was shaking when braking, now the AC compressor needs to be replaced! Have had Have had vehicle only 6 weeks. Dealer claims no liability and refuses to address these issues!! Will follow up with other agencies and legal counsel so that others can avoid this mistreatment, stress, and major expense! more

I agree with syndilowe on this, they are all amazing people and with big hearts. I'm so glad i decided to stop here, they took very good care of me and my daughter and got me into the perfect car!!! i wouldnt go anywhere else after being here! more

Don't go anywhere else! Great customer service is what you will find at Frenchtown Auto Sales. It began with the owner, Bill McDonough's cooperative attitude, on multiple phone calls, answering numerous questions I had regarding a particular car on his lot. My son and I met with him and gave them a ""wish list"" of things we would like before we returned the following week to purchase the vehicle. Their customer service continued with an offer to pick me up at the train station (I live in NJ) in order for me to pick up the car the following weekend. When I arrived to pick up the car I found all of the items from my wish list had been completed and the car had been cleaned and shined. A mechanical issue in the first month (remember this is a used car) was covered under the warranty included with the purchase. Frenchtown's customer service did not end with the sale. They were very helpful answering my many questions regarding the warranty etc. When the established warranty company experienced cash flow issues and did not pay my mechanic for the work I contacted Bill to ask for assistance. He immediately contacted my vendor and resolved the issue. This was beyond my expectations. I know the time, energy and money they spent on this sale did not add to their bottom line profit. It is so rare to find a business that cares about their customer, has the integrity to stand behind their product and works to make the customer happy.
