the management is one of the worst I have ever seen.. they fired all the good people.. they will lie to family members face about things that plenty of people know were in fact true.. do not trust your loved one in this building.. its all about the money your loved one will come last more

I don't agree with some od the reviews about the nursing home where I love to work. I know first hand we have a great team of nurses and stna who truly do care. Yes some management could use some better people skills. But it is a wonderful place for anyones loved ones who need care!!! more

This facility has provided great care to my grandfather. He has a very difficult personality and underlying issues, but the staff worked with him and his diagnosis's to help him improve his quality of life. I can't say enough about the therapy. I can not begin to say how disgusted I am with the services that were provided by Westlake Care Center. Their staff is uncaring, rude and negligent in their responsibilities and duties. All control of medications by family members is lost because the facility handles it directly and charges you a fortune. The administrators (one in particular) was very rude during the ""Family Meetings"" and did not answer specific questions on why things requested were not being done. This person would rather tell the family that they need to learn how to ""speak nicely"". THESE WERE SPECIFIC ISSUES AND CONCERNS THAT WERE NOT BEING HANDLED BY THE FACILITY SO YES, THE FAMILY WAS UPSET AND ANGERED ABOUT THEIR LACK OF CARE BEING PROVIDED. I would not recommend this facility to anyone. There are good places out there...do your research and you will find them but this facility is not one of them. I rate this facility one star...if I could have done no stars, I would have. Cons: See Below more

\r \r A place for your golden days . Westlake Healthcare Center could be a good place, but it is not. A very nice building in a great location that all it is. Do to poor management the facility staff turnover is like a revolving door. Good nurses and good stna will came in but they would not stay because of the work conditions, the total management disorganization, and the poor quantity of supplies in general that at the end will make the tasks more difficult. All this contribute to the constant lac of adequate staff that at the end results in poor residents care and service. Same problems with the kitchen, the food quality is mediocre, the residents are always complaining and some days they will hardly touch it and the management does not care because = they do not eat there=.\r more

Can't say I would agree with the other review. I happen to work there and you couldn't ask for a better staff. I must say that if you are a lazy nurse, or don't do your job then it may not be for you. There isn't a large turnover either. Westlake Healthcare recieved a defiency free survey from the ODH this year. With all the right players on there management staff now, It has come along way. The moral of the nurses is great! Like I said if your not doing your job, and are being lazy then thats your fault that you didn't have a good experience. They will not except less then quality care for the residents there. It is also a very clean, none of the nursing home smells. I am honored to be part of such a dedicated team. Keep up the great work Westlake Healthcare!!!!!!! OH, and alot of staff have family members or friends that are residents there, need I say more? I found that the work ethic at this facility is very low and for what ever reason this place cannot keep good employess. They have a very high turn over rate, which deprives the patients of proper care. The employees who work the night shift spend more time talking and eating food, then they do taking care of the patients. The second shift, is always understaffed, and the attitudes of the nurses is one that says I do not care. The uniform dress code is very unprofessional and the attitudes of the department heads is to over look it all! Pros: parking good, nice looking place. Cons: service is below average. more
