I was a Beyond Bread ad dict when I lived in Tucson. Delicious sandwiches and amazing desserts. Go during off hours to avoid crowds, or call ahead and pick it up, or as a frien...

Save room for dessert! 4/12/2006

I don't eat out much but Beyond Bread is one of the places that I go to on a regular basis when I do go out to eat. They have many excellent vegetarian selections. The one with the roasted veggies is especially good. The portions tend to be large. I usually split a sandwich with my husband and then we order a couple of desserts. I especially love the cream puffs, which are enormous but are delicious with real whipped cream and custard -- a highly decadent and indulgent treat. more

Get a sandwich as big as your head! 8/25/2005

Aside from making the yummiest bread in Tucson, Beyond Bread can be counted on for fabulous and unique sandwiches. Try the Wednesday special - pretzel bread with roasted red peppers, pepperoni, cheese and some kinda schmear that is just heavenly. Grab a loaf of Beyond Banana Bread while you are there. If you can resist the sweet treats, you are better man than I. more

Beyond Bread - Great for casual dining 7/30/2005

Beyond Bread has great sandwiches and salads. I love the tuna sandwich, and it has to be one of the best made tuna sandwiches in town. The bread is amazing and always tastes fresh. They also have specials each day featuring a unique sandwich. A drawback is that they close early so if you want a late night dinner you are out of luck. more

This is just an average restaurant. The food is mediocre, and quite expensive at that. They offer a variety of breads, desserts, and sandwiches. Truely it is nothing special, but Beyond Bread is good for lunch once in a while when in the area. The lounge area is very nice and relaxing though. more

Beyond Bread........still Yummy! 7/19/2005

I really love Beyond Bread. Although I love the sammies I have had there, the side dishes can be a bit hit and miss. IMHO. I had a balsamic vinaigrette one day that tasted a little 'mouldy' even. It wasn't very good. The chips are baked, and are a bit odd if you are not used to them. The coleslaw, again, is too strong on the vinegar, but is actually the best side choice. I think it would be nice if they would offer a few more choices of side dishes. A creamy coleslaw........more traditional........or even soup. The sandwiches are really good though. FRESH bread and a tremendous variety of it. The tomatoes, lettuce, etc. is always fresh and crispy. This is a really nice thing since in so many restaurants this isn't the case. Beyond bread is known for baking their own breads and it shows. YUM. The parking lot and restaurant is nuts at lunchtime. If you can get here by 11AM or after one, you will have a much better chance of finding a table. There is an outdoor patio as well as indoor seating. So, don't count on the side dishes, don't get the brown balsamic dressing, but DO try the sandwiches!! more

Beautiful Bread 7/16/2005

Beyond Bread at both locations - Speedway and Campbell is a fantastic little cafe and bakery. The sandwiches are so large it's hard to get it all in your mouth and the salads are gigantic!! Desserts make your mouth water - my favorite is the fruit tart, though my sister likes the chocolate fruit tart. The cream puff are to die for!! Get there early for lunch or you'll be in a line for quite a while as it usually goes out the door! I haven't had breakfast there yet, but I plan to soon! more
