Good Food, Bad Service 3/21/2006

The Oaks bar and grill is a place you go if you want tasty food but don't mind waiting forever to get it. Whenever my Mother in law comes to town, this is where she wants to go - because of their Crab and Cheese soup (VERY good). However, I usually drag my heels because the service SUCKS. Also great on the menu is the grouper sandwhich and the half pound burger. Very laid back atmosphere. more

I moved to the area a few months before making my way to The Oaks. Really, my dad was visiting from out of town and wanted to give it a try. We are so glad we did! the service was great, friendly, fast and fun. The food was awesome too, I got the half rack of ribs, and they were so good! The architecture of the building is something to note if you're into that sort of thing. We mnust have spent at least 20 minutes just looking around the place at oall of the different old features. The place must have been built in the 40's... Highly recommended! more

Good Food, Great Atmosphere for Families 7/11/2005

When I moved to the area, my husband and I were looking for a local family restaurant. Our luck happened with the first try. When the hostess saw our toddler and newborn, she asked if we wanted to be by the playroom. When we arrived, to our surprise it wasn't an arcade, rather it was a toddler playroom filled with trucks, dolls, chalkboards and other toys. We were able to enjoy our dinner next to the room while our son played. We could see everything he did through the glass partition. What a wonderful idea! more
