Sam's Club

Sam’s club is owned by Wal-Mart. My excuse for having a membership is that I am from the east coast where we aren’t lucky enough to have Costco (yet!). The Aurora one is okay, but they don’t have a gas station, which is really the best reason to have a membership. The thing about Sam is that he loves to rip you off. One of the tricks that he has played on both me and a friend is this: when you renew a membership through your company, he takes a long time (sometimes months) to process the renewal. So you end up paying for a full year’s membership, except that you can’t shop there for the months that Sam is taking his sweet-ass time. more

Granted, there are only three up here in Washington state. This one in Auburn is the best one, laid out better than the one in Renton. We were there today. I was surprised that they carried organic cotton shirts and clothing, along with Newman's Own Organics spring salad mix. They have a great selection of items, and they are much lower priced than Costco. The diapers and wipes were the best deal, but I am a mom and don't shop for much else besides groceries and diapers! I wish they had a gas station at this Sam's. The only reason I would go to the Renton Sam's is if I was up in that area, and I needed to buy gas or run in for something. The parking situation is better in Renton. All of the cashiers are very nice, the lines are short compared to Costco, etc. Staff is very friendly. My only complaint is that when you buy a hot dog, they don't have mustard and ketchup dispensers, but little packets that you have to rip open instead. more

If you like to save money and buy in bulk this is the place to go . They have some really cool stuff here that is really good priced. They have really good prices on cd's and movies too. The people who work there are really nice and helpful. The store is connected to the super mall so plan accordingly for parking and if you need to go to a store in the mall it does make it a lot easyer to get everything done. more
