This bar is okay, theres nothing specifically special about it, but the waitress we had was horrible. She wasn't happy with her tips, and didnt understand that to have good tips ...

Plenty of space to sit or hang out 9/26/2005

This is pretty good-sized bar with reasonable drink prices. The front of the place is a standard bar with a bunch of people crammed in pretty close, but the back has a whole bunch of tables to allow for conversation or hanging out. So whatever you want, as long as it can be found in a dive, can be found here. It's pretty standard fare to find a ton of NYU people here. more

great NYU staple 6/30/2005

This gets extremely crowded on the weekends, but it's awesome. The front room is very stereotypically pub-like, except for the computers and the television screens for you to play with. The back room is very relaxed, with candles and old sofas. The crowd is fairly young, and food is also served. great place overall more

  • The Scene On the surface, this bar appears to be just another noisy, crowded after-work or after-school scene. But move beyond the cramped front room and find a casual crowd unwinding in a lively space with wooden booths, quirky wall art and mini table-side TVs. For the real surprise, slip behind a side curtain into a lavish bohemian lounge where would-be couples sink into inviting velvet couches amid Moroccan lanterns. The Draw Plasma TVs, dartboards, Web-access terminals, a jukebox, a pool table--there are enough diversions to occupy even the shortest attention span. The drink selections--beer, cognac, martinis--suit a variety of tastes, and raspberry liqueurs give the bar's namesake drink an appropriately robust flavor. While more obvious choices exist for meeting people and kicking back (or making out), this split-personality feline is ideal for those who want to keep their options open.
