This is the rather small satellite teaching center of the rather large Catawba Valley Community College. If you need your GED it's where you can go to get it. They also have computer courses and other useful classes for adults. They also feature some coursework for adults with mental retardation - it's called Compensatory Education and it compensates these citizens, mostly older, who were denied access to mainstream education before the American with Disabilities Act reformed the educational system. CVCC offers everyone in the community a chance to meet and learn some practical stuff and some academic stuff. After you get the basics here in Taylorsville you can go on to the main campus in Concord and do a two year course - they teach people how to be Nascar mechanics, a VERY popular course around here.
